I'm going to use this on my horn. Haven't played consistently for a few years and am now ready to get back to work.

After cleaning a good buff and polish is what u need for a nice finish

Actual gold? Not that I know of. If you mean brass (gold color) then brass polish will do the trick.

This is outrageous. So many folks who only understand music trying to handle a chemical reaction issue. Low and behold, a basic understanding of chemistry accomplishes so much more impressive. Just awesome, man.

Do you have any idea what the ratios would be for a trombone in a bathtub? I own an antique silver Conn valve bone.

How long is a little while?

It would have been better and faster if you had used boiling water a 1/2cup or 1 cup of baking soda , and salt.

Well, yes I do have a PhD, but I'm not a chemist. (Although I did study enough chemistry to comprehend ion exchange at a basic level).
