Hp 285 g3 can support 4k display through it's hdmi port
@HPSupport

+Sher Ali That is debatable. Most likely, its limited to what ever your Vega Graphics. But why will it matter? VGA is an old analog signal and your 4K tv or monitor is going to be an HDMI digital input.

@@HPSupport I appreciate the reply. I've seen this previously and would appreciate it if you could clarify whether the Kingston Hyper X Fury 8GB DDR3(HX318C10F/8) 1866 MHz RAM can be used as a dual channel with its full capacity.

Hi Rahul, thanks for contacting HP Global Social Media Support! Well, upon going the through the RAM specification, the maximum support for the system is 1600MHz. So, inserting a higher MHz RAM module will still work but ultimately it will get tuned down to 1600MHz even though your RAM module can go higher than 1600MHz. Akhil_HP Social Media Tech Support

@@HPSupport Thank you for the clarification. So no matter the speed, it will work, right? I'll leave my system specifications below and kindly confirm that if I bought a pair of 8GB ram(the model that I mentioned in my previous comment), it would work fine on my system. CPU: AMD A8-6500 Mother Board: HP 2B4A

Thanks for getting back to me! Yes, it should work but as I mentioned previously, the RAM module will not perform to its maximum capacity and make sure you get 2 of the same RAMS and which has a similar spec to the stock RAM for better compatibility.\ Hope this helps! Hello. I know my query isn't related to the video but I need help related to my HP G2 290 MT PC. When I plug in a video card (Gtx 1650) and start the PC, it doesn't boot. And when I put the cable into the motherboard output (while the gpu still plugged in) it doesn't boot up either. And when I take the Video card out. It boots up normally. How do I fix it?

+Ikrama Asif To resolve the issue, you can use a video card that Secure Boot recognizes, or you can disable Secure Boot and enable Legacy Boot in the BIOS. This document explains how to disable Secure Boot and enable Legacy Boot: bit.ly/2uVqIDv

@@HPSupport Hello. Thank you very much for the response. Now I took out the ram sticks and plugged them back in again and it booted. But now the problem is that when connect my GPU with Displayport to the monitor. It says "no cable connected", and when I do it with hdmi it works. Should I try the same solution that you suggested for this problem as well?
You can change the components??
