I watched this in the middle of the night and then got out of bed to go in the garage and try this in my underwear. The rope worked good! Just had to feed a ton of it in there. Thanks

That string trick works great. I just used it lolol. Came off without any issues. It seems that all of my internal parts are great. We just have a fuel supply or electrical issue. I've ordered the valve setting tool, and have set the valves. I ran it about 4 to 5 months without doing that. It's supposed to be done more often for professionals vs once a year for HOs that only use them once a year. Lol.

I bought this 600 magnum off of a friend for 90, just bought 200 worth of parts, and tools. Probably just needed a new plug, and valves set.

Thank you very much. BR500. 2012. The nut holding the fan does not budge either direction. I have sprayed some PB Blater penetrating oil and will let it rest overnight. Tomorrow, I pull out my Milwaukee 1/2 inch monster impact driver, and turn it ANTICLOCKWISE without fear.

Just do the string, rope or wire truck. I tried battery, corded electric, and an air impact. Since the fan, and nut are one piece, impacts don't seem to be able to break it loose.

stihl makes a tool that screws into the spark plug hole but the rope trick worked. I put the flywheel in my bench vise and reefed on it… don’t do that. A new fly wheel is $70 and I still ended up doing the rope trick.

There might be other ways where you can latch onto the crankshaft but this is definitely the easiest and safest way.

Hello. If you have a thin rope, you can stuff it in the cylinder with the piston down. Then when you crank the bolt the piston will compress on the rope allowing the bolt to loosen but not cause any damage to the piston. Then you can pull the rope out. Just make sure you leave enough hanging out so you can pull it
