Very smart idea my friend,what I usually do is wet it with water & wait for a few minutes then scrub it in a lightly manner to remove the sticker.Thanks for sharing your great idea,have a wonderful day!

This worked best for me: 1) pour a splash of boiling water over the sticker 2) immediately add Barkeeper's Friend over the sticker 3) scratch with wooden spoon
