This was so informative. Thank you so much. I just discovered you guys because I am trying to focus on skin care rather than makeup. Also I loved how you gave a little pep talk at the end of not feeling down about your skin because thats how I've been most of my life and to this day. However, its gotten a lot better and hope it will continue to heal.

Haiiii! So glad you came across our channel and welcome to the fammm 😊Skincare is so huge and it's the basis for makeup so it's so important, so you're on the right track hehe. Sometimes when we're fighting through skin insecurities it's really hard and you feel like you just want to hide everything all the time, but it's actually something we all face - so you're not alone! heheh. We actually did a whole video on our skin insecurities here (bit.ly/2IoJ5Da). Thanks so much for commenting and watching girl! 😘- Fel

Just FYI, microneedling is effective at reversing atropyic scars. Done at dermatologist office performed by medical esthetician or nurse or physician. It restores collagen. Takes three or more sessions to see results. Looooove your videos!!!!

Emilia Razak you might not be getting enough vitamin d, especially in the colder months like winter you aren’t getting enough sunlight so you’ll need to take vitamin d supplements. If you aren’t your vitamin d levels might be low which could lead to color discoloration in your skin even if you don’t pop pimples, or even not using spf year around and you are producing to much melanin. All possibilities I recommend finding a vitamin d supplement tho.

Omg yes!! I haven't seen many people mention hydrocolloid patches (what Felicia is putting on her face in 10:55) in their vids when talking about acne. It is literally a staple in my skincare regimen whenever I break out. I've bought so many I've lost count 😂 they're a godsend. Highly recommend them to my fellow acne sufferers. The brand doesn't matter! It just depends if you care what size they come in. Some of my faves are the ones Cosrx has, Hanhoo (Walmart), and the large ones CVS carries (I use these when I know I'll end up using too many single patches).

As always, amazing video! So professional and full of information. I do have a question. I have a problem that goes deeper. Literally. Acne scarring that has finally healed on the surface layers of the skin, but are still scarred deeper down. So, I won't see them unless I get overheated and the redness comes to the surface or if I use really strong flash photography. Can you recommend the route for this? I know I need to see a dr. but I'd value any suggestions. Retanoids, deeper treatments, etc. thanks!

Like you are answering all the questions I have always had in regards to skincare and what products I should be using, why, and how to use them effectively, especially in regard to other products and skin types. Dermatologists were like "that's normal, have this expensive painful facial and some retin-A and you should be just fine and out hundred's of dollars for nothing useful and no questioned answered." I have learned so much watching this channel. Thank you!!!!!!!

The video was so informative. thank you so much. I used to confuse between acne and acne scarring because I have red marks, after so much research I know that its actually PIE. You guys mentioned products for PIH but not PIE ? so are the same products recommended for PIE as well ? Thanks again

Great video explaining all the different acne scars! By the sounds of your accent, I'm guessing you're from Australia..? If you are, is the Luminosity Mandelic Maven Serum available in the country or do I have to purchase it off their website?

One way to minimize the appearance of post acne scars is to exfoliate daily. My favourite is Aveda Exfoliant. Since I have been using this product 3 years ago. My ice pick scars around my cheeks area are less visible. Also using a lightweight but extremely hydrating moisturizer after like Clinique Moisture Surge helps with the overall appearance!

Yep these tricks work, I tried it before still doing it but not often. I had acne for not cleaning my skin(what ? I was 9 then, how can you blame me) and sun exposure very strong UV light here

I used to have a LOT of atrophic scars from my teen years. But I’ve been using multiple brands of essences (from SK-II, Missha, Naruko) for >5years now and my atrophic scars have reduced significantly. They used to be really deep and really obvious but now they’ve kind of almost disappeared. Obviously there’s still some deep ones still visible but they’re not as deep as they once were and they’ve kind of reduced in visibility. So I think you don’t necessarily need to resort to laser treatment for this type of acne. Granted it took many years for my skin to repair itself but I’m glad that I did choose to use essences, serums, ampoules, sheet masks, chemical exfoliation etc as I can see great results from incorporating this in my skincare. I still get cystic acne but it’s mainly coz of my hormonal imbalance but other than that, I’m glad my skin is recovering from atrophic scars. Now it’s just PIH and PIE that I need to concern myself with 🤦🏻‍♀️
