This can be a great method to dispose of the e-waste in a proper manner, like when the sellers should sell the new original batteries after getting the old batteries from the customers (where sellers should dispose of the old batteries properly). Removable batteries may also cause more duplicates to roam in the market. Both will have advantages and disadvantages. As time and technology go on, it will improve. Hoping for the bests.

Nope removable batteries will reduce eWaste. Just think like this, In one year if your phn batteries is going to dead (if it's removable battery) then your able to switch only ur battery. Or else if it's non removable battery then we will switch to new phone. Now the total phone is an eWaste now. It will generate 3 to 4 time high eWaste.

We can change the battery for all mobiles. Even a2d posted a video on changing the battery. But, the hook is we need tools to make it. That's all. Swapping a mobile due to battery issue is not acceptable.

I think I will be more efficient if mobile companies can provide easy replaceable batteries rather than fully openable anytime. Something like batteries in wrist watches. It is water proof and batteries can be replaced in any stores at a cheaper rate and if possible we can easily buy batteries from stores and replace ourselves. And provide a feature to turn off and on Fast Charging on command like a toggle switch.

I have changed my Samsung flagship models after 4 or 5 years, only because battery issue. Till now i have Galaxy S7 mobile. But i'm getting duplicate battery which can last for 3 to 6 months only. Original battery not available in the market. This strategy is simply to sell new models. I agree with you. To avoid the issue of slowness after some years, should not update the OS. So that the current hardware will support older version of OS without performance issue.
