Many years ago, the Boy Scouts had a graduation ceremony that involved building a fire as part of the climax of the program. I have reloaded my own ammunition, for rifle and pistol for more than 50yrs now, so I'm familiar with powder. I was also familiar with the ignitors on model rockets. I put a small amount of powder in some toilet paper along with an ignitor, built a TP around the paper out of kindling, buried the wire leading away from the fire pit and at the right moment, I pushed the magic button, Boy Scouts and Parents alike were suitably impressed as the fire burst into flames. I was also impressed with myself, lol....

Cool! Safer way for the kids to have fun on July 4th!

What’s that thing you got at the end of the wire and why can’t you just use the connected pieces of wire to heat it up

You need an igniter that is shielded from the flame. Maybe a metal deflector between the coil and the connector or a metal jacketed connector

ESC Take the signal from the RC Receiver and converts it to a dc output. The Receiver outputs a pulsed signal intended to control a servo.

@@devinholland2189 Interesting. Since I posted this question I actually did make the experiment and made a (rather-unsafe-but-usable) ingnition system with just an arduino, a lipo, relay and khantal. But now I know what the ESC was for and maybe I'll use it for another project. Thanks!

best way is just to get thin copper wire and put it around mach or fuse.

+redstone craft guy 32 gauge wire and the length depends on how hot you want the wire. I used maybe 50mm of kanthal wire.
