We're constantly searching for remote islands to explore and the Jumentos Cays in the Bahamas are about as remote as you can get. No grocery store, no services. Just some of the most amazing scenery and clear water in the world!
To get there we have to make it through the extremely shallow Hog Cay Cut and find a spot to survive a westerly blow. But the reward is so worth it and we arrived in time to attend the annual charity auction party at Hog Cay (different one!) with all the locals from the Ragged Islands.
What an absolutely perfect way to start our season cruising the Bahamas!

I have followed you 2 for several years, but delos was there during the pandemic and they along with 4 other boats were forced to stay for some time and used George town as a point for food drops. I hope you guys have fun there, take care and enjoy your time there, be safe. Roger

Love the Jumentos & Raggeds! Mostly for the solitude, but also for the folks of Duncantown. Had a great time hanging out there. Can’t wait to return!

We LOVE remote cruising and I'm not sure it gets much better in the Bahamas than the Jumentos and Raggeds!
It’s so wonderful to see you guys sailing again! Gotta be careful that you guys don’t catch that sailing bug again and what should’ve been a quick sail through the cut, doesn’t turn out to be a long sail towards New Caledonia….

It is pretty amazing to me how we can upload a video from anywhere with Starlink as compared to having to sail somewhere to find 1 bar of cell service! 😄
I've never seen any catamarans using a swell bridal setup. Is there just to much windage for the anchor or are the aft side/ aft cleats not strong enough. Being on a monohull the swell bridle is the shit! Night and day difference. Happy wife vs divorce. Really love your upgrades. need video camera on mast for bombys.

We haven't been anchored in too many places with a side swell... until we came to the Bahamas. 😆 In the past we've just used a stern anchor to pull the bow around, but we have talked to a few cats this year who've used the swell bridle setup so we're going to try that next time.

It is called the "Valentine's Day" party, but I think the day it's held varies each year based on weekends/local schedule. So be down here mid February. 😄
