First of all thank you all for the support. This video exploded and helped many people it seems. Now I have to say something about people commenting on Hard difficulty as I have given advice to start on Normal which a lot disagree with. At the time when this video was made Hard difficulty was pain in the arse for Solo players. I am not saying it wasn't doable. It was but it was so frustrating at times and not in a fun way. That is why I advised starting on Normal first. I almost exclusively play games on Hard difficulty at start but this one, for my sanity sake, would've been so much more fun on Normal at first. I have no clue how game is now after many updates so can't comment how it impacted difficulty over the time.

I just got Remnant after wanting it for awhile now and I'm like yeah I bet Dark souls 3 and Bloodborne mostly solo had help with the Dancer in Dks 3 and the shadows and Rom in BB and I bet Sekiro last year and I'm playing the Surge 2 now so I said..... come on HARD mode, but at last my body couldn't take it I almost thought about not playing it any more, but now after hearing say that its suicidal to start on hard I'll probably go back and re roll on normal and give it a second go.

Me and friend started this weekend on hard and mobs were not too easy nor too hard. First boss (archer) was a pain in the ass and after about 20 failed attempts we re rolled on normal. It is definitely not like in Dark Souls if you can't focus on boss, because annoying adds will stab you in the back and if you focus on them, then boss might one-shot your distracted ass.
I have to say, a lot of Remnant videos I've found are terrible. Your video, on the other hand, is clear concise and edited well. Thank you for that.
I'm only just playing the first game before I play Remnant 2. Thank you for the tips. I was kind of surprised I haven't seen anyone mention just smashing objects like shelves and wooden crates when you come across them can yield more scrap and iron. Very helpful for extra currency and crafting materials.

2 years later can I just say this guide on how your gear works out your level and things scale, is invaluable. Thanks.
This is the FIRST explanation on the, extremely complex/horribly explained, leveling system that has made sense. Thank you!

@@silentgrind34 I think it's like this. I think the basic principle is if you want a balanced game then make sure all your gear is at the same level. So for example all weapons and armour upgraded to +5. If you have +5 weapons but no investment in armour the game will be harder because you take way more damage. Then on top of that is a progression level scaling (in campaign mode). So like he says, look at the stat panel. If you have a diamond you're at the right level, if you have green arrows you're overlevelled and the next new place you visit will be scaled to that level. In other words, as you play the game don't pump resources into anything if you don't need to. Just play the game, if it starts getting hard look at the zone level panel and upgrade if it's red.

So if I'm understanding this correctly. It's pointless for me to make my character over level because the very next spot will tear it to the level that I'm at so I essentially wasted all those resources
if you get the tower where the void armor is hidden in Rhom (the one with the tile puzzle), you can intentionally trigger the enemy spawns there by stepping on the wrong plate. The enemies that spawn have an unusually high luminite crystal drop rate. I got 19 crystals from that area in about 10 minutes while I was trying to unlock the puzzle.
@merakihiraeth7580

Lol, they're about to nerf that area so no more lumenite crystal farming :(
@Wolfsins
4 жыл бұрын
Yea I stumbled upon that as well. Farmed 100 luminite crystals. But I'm pretty sure it glitched because when I stopped I had 103. They I went into kill other things, got more crystals then somehow I had 102 :( And Wud the merchant on Rhom is gone, idk if that's a glitch or not. His dog is there but he isn't. And I can't find any info on him leaving

Wow! Thank you so much for explaining “rating vs zone”!. I had no clue about that!
I've literally gotten to Hardened Iron and gotten my build up along with a +20 weapon and am only JUST NOW learning what that 'zone' or even 'gear score' means. That's insane. Thanks for clarifying that, friend!

Helped me a TON. As enjoyable as Hard was as a fresh player it really came to jesus when I came across the Sewer boss Shroud. That felt actually impossible with starting traits and whatever noob random junk I had put together by that time. Switching to Normal and grabbing all the useful things below in the Fortress/Hideout/unnecessarily too large homebase is absolutely the play to make things feel proper. Thanks a ton for the information and effort.

I watched a few other vids which encouraged me to start off my first play through on ‘hard’ difficulty. Needless to say, after being wiped out by that sewer boss countless times, I’m now re-rolling and following the advice to start off as a fresh player too on ‘normal’ difficulty.
Thank you for explaining gear vs zone, I realize now that as I almost always show 2x green arrows that I am constantly over upgrading my gear, and need to focus on hoarding scrap for a bit!
Thanks for the info, this was 1st helpful video Ive seen for Remnant
Was watching your videos on outward just two days ago, and now here I am playing remnant watching your videos again, keep it up👌
This video is incredibly helpful. Thank you for taking the time to make it for us.
I totally forgot about the Ward 13 Keycard! Thanks for the tips!
I’m 2 years late, but man this information is better than any other video I’ve watched and explained so much I was wondering about
Thanks for the info, especially the zone leveling tips. They were the first I've heard that actually made sense. Subscribed!
Just gotta leave a comment @RPG Division - those tips are amazing - the level scaling is very well explained and easily understood - now i wont make the mistake anymore to upgrade before bosses or upgrading only 1 peace more than my other gear - very helpful
Didn't know about the camera shift or the leveling, thanks for the info!
great explanation of zone and gear scaling, thank you!
I honestly love games that hide secrets and force you to scan the entire map and employ lateral thinking. Proper fun compared to the whole day 1 DLC and microtransaction BS

From all I've seeing this game has more layers than I can even begin to explain. So many items you could easily never find, missions that are altered by choices made hours and hours ago... just so much insanity!
Your zone levelling section was really helpful dude. I’m a newbie and was unsure about how this worked in game.
Hey, just wanted to say that I have browsed a few of your videos and I think your idea of giving one review score based on the current status of the game plus another score based on the potential (after fixes, rebalances, etc.) sounds very reasonable and appropriate, given the reality that most games release in one shape and several months later transition to a very different shape due to patches, revisions to game mechanics, etc. Keep up the good work!
Legendary tips for leveling in this game! Thank you sir 👍🏻
Thanks for the info, i really appreciate it. Especially the level ranking is very interesting!
Love this game, your clear explanations, and the accent. Subscribed, my friend!
thanks for the video dude, really helpfull, starting out today, already got the traits, armor and the smg. awesome tips :D
Good video! Help a lot in ChaosBane and now in Remnant. Nice work!
Excellent explanation on the zone levelling/scaling. Thank you.
Awesome explanation of the leveling system! I also missed the smg. Thanks
very helpful, thank you sir! New to the game, and this video helped a ton. Now to figure out what class to pick...
Easy to understand, fun to watch and pretty funny. Thanks a lot man, you're video helped
This was great info. Luckily I'm only at gearscore 3 at the moment, and I was heading in the "wrong direction" as it was cheap to upgrade helmet so it's +5 while the rest of the armor is +0.
The most important thing to learn right at the beginning at least now that adventure mode is in the game is the keep re-rolling a zone on adventure mode and leveling your treats while leaving your gear alone.there's absolutely no good reason not to max out every trait to have an any you might get while doing this and leave your gear at the level you started at. I made the mistake early on of leveling my gear because I was having such a hard time with one of the bosses and now my gear is way ahead of my traits and I'm just in over my head. I'm seriously thinking about just starting over
This helped a lot. Particularly as it is explaining why I am getting my but kicked so hard right now. Went into a new zone after doing lots of upgrades not knowing this and it took me awhile to figure out a combination of weapons and consumables that would let me survive.
Thank you so much for this info. I just started this game and your video has helped a lot. This game is so fun.
About to dive into this for the first time, 11 months after release. Thank you for this video!
Everybody is so late but I. Loving the fact you noticed and made a vid this get is beyond fun and a true challenge HANDS DOWN

thanks alot dude you earned a sub :) love your competent way of explaining how things works in this game
Great video!! perfectly explained just what i was looking for thanks!
This is a great video, not many people actually get to the point, nor information, thanks!
I just got this game recently from Epic and I’m loving it. Great video, I learned a lot.
Thanks for the tips! Been playing 2 characters 1 for online with my friend and one offline. The offline character literally hasn't got another secondary weapon besides the starting pistol. The SMG tip will help greatly.
Great video mate, you deserve more subscribers for sure. Clear and concise. I've been really struggling with the very first "big boss" - Shroud - as the modifiers it seems to roll (Regenerating or Enchanter) are just INSANE to go against solo. Maybe the explanation you gave about the gearscore will help. I'd appreciate some boss guide videos from you if possible? Including basic gear loadouts etc. Thanks
Great video straight to the point without needless talking, the perfect information video thank you very much, will sub
This was helpful. Great video !
Very good vid thx for tips, clear and precise.
Thanks for explaining the level scaling, I've been holding off on traits as I was unsure of how things scaled. Now I know that it's gear based I can spend all those hard earned trait points.
Very useful info,thanks man :)
Thank you for explaining zone leveling so well.
If you start campaign on normal, and you get elder knowledge early in the game, i would recommend leveling it to +20 immediately. This is because the game starts out pretty easy, and the other traits provide minimal benefit at the beginning. I only have played the game for 15 hours, and I already have 175 trait points.
thank you for the in depth guide. i like it its clear and explains what i need to know.
Love this vid and Loving this game, thanks for the help man

Out of pride i started at nightmare difficulty and i kept at it for mayb 4 to 5 hrs and your correct its doable but fun factor goes down.. starting at normal is good advise .. thanks for the video the zone level explanation was really helpful for new players
So agree with you about difficulty. I've played on normal and it feels like I'm on hard mode most of time (like when I had been struggling with the Undying King for a few hours) 😲 I usually start every game on hard mode but that one.
Great video , thanks for the tips👍

@@hxvok_hk9829 II-HXVOK-II 6 months late but if others see it. Using lower level gear does NOT then lower ur difficulty. When you enter a new area it takes your highest item for a slot and averages them together. This is your gear score. So a +19 shotgun and 10 lvl 1 weapons means for long gun your slot is lvl 19. He explained this in the video. Every zone has a MINIMUM lvl as well. So your first world boss minimum lvl is 5.
