That news clip barely even skimmed the surface on how brilliant and legendary Bowie was. Labyrinth was my hoodoo voodoo for falling in love with the man 30 years ago. never mention it. What a pity!

One more comment: At 6AM I woke with MSNBC, "Morning Joe" which started with an interview with Bowie--thought it was about his new release. Then, my heard dropped when they announced his death. Anyway, all day long the news stations have been talking about the Golden Globes, Sean Penn & the drug dealer, Donald Trump, etc. It was difficult to find 1 minute about this great artist! Can't say anything better about the radio stations!!! When a jazz musician passes you can hear an all-day broadcast of his/her music--couldn't find anything on any radio station honoring this brilliant man.

Yes, I was disgusted by our crap media -- not nearly enough coverage of Bowie, an incredible innovator, and too much gag-worthy Trump nonsense. It is appalling that our news could barely stop to cover this event. Instead we have to endure endless discussions of Trump's latest fart.

That's a shame. In the UK we had it all over the news and radio, I think everyone felt the impact of the loss of a great artist. 😊

he was attractive, gifted, deep voice, luckily received eyes, etc. what about the man with little that we cherish as noticeable and kind? I think today more of the beautifully brutal people giving off signs of discontent stand proud under all pressure

I think that David Bowie's influence is more visible in Japan's musician and artist Gackt than anyone else in Europe or America. If you want to see another artist like Bowie who defies gender stereotypes, has an incredibly distinct deep voice, and is above all an artist, listen to Gackt(ex., Claymore).

Jesus I still remember when this was all over the news, It was the early morning of January 10th, I was riding my bike to school and I went to stop at my local donut shop, and as I enter the shop I see on the television on G.M.A David Bowie Dies at 69, My thoughts that day were "well this is a great start for the morning and this year". And it got three times worse just after March.

I remember Mr. Bowie at Max's Kansas City, don't remember the year, but he was in a glitter jumpsuit and eyeliner! I had the privilege of seeing him perform on Broadway in The Elephant Man. If you have ever seen the movie you know there is a lot of makeup and body work to make the character look deformed. Mr. Bowie only wore what looked like a diaper; he contorted his body in such a way that you believed he was deformed! I believe he was once a "mime" actor. I will never forget when we left the theater in awe, and driving home the song "Changes" was playing!!! RIP David Bowie; thank you for enhancing my life!

***** Oh trust me, over the years I have tired! She considers ABBA & superficial pap like that the way forward. For some reason, Bowie's death & the massive response to it, has sparked an interest in her but even now, despite living with someone who has been listening to his music for 40 years, she is blazing her own trail & has,for some reason, declared "Heathen" as the album she must listen to!
