1:25, what a gorgeous smile she has. I loved their connection. You can feel it from the moment they meet each other. Their powers I believe made them truly open up to each other. (: I love how Andy can hear everyone's thoughts, and how Vicky can hear what he's thinking.

They’re such a sweet couple, they deserve a happy ending, even though they did their best to raise Charlie (Any kinesis is not easy to handle and control) And what did the mother do or what happened?

I remember reading in the book that Vicky’s own supernatural talent was being able to make doors close from across the room or at a distance, by merely thinking about it. Much the way Charlie is able to wish fire on someone or something by merely thinking about it.

@thereal finalgirl didn’t it say in the book that Vicky would complain of small pains similar to cramps after she did small things like that?

I also remember reading in the book after Andy and Charlie left Ohio following Vicky’s murder, Andy sometimes wondered just what their neighbors on Conifer Place(their old street in Harrison, OH) had wondered whatever happened to him and Vicky and Charlie, visualizing them thinking,”Marital issues? Child abuse? As it was, though, all of their neighbors back on Conifer Place had been nothing more than casual nodding acquaintances, so it would have been nothing more than “idle dinner time chat, a nine days wonder that was soon forgotten about when the bank that held the McGees’ mortgage released their house,” and that there had never even been an article about it in the paper, about how a college professor named Andy McGee and his family had suddenly just plain “upped and mysteriously disappeared without any trace.” “Perhaps it was the Shop that had erased all of that, so as to “protect themselves,” by making it seem like they were the good guys who had every reason to stop at nothing to pursue Charlie over hill and dale, as they wanted to use her as a sort of guinea pig for their scientific experiments.

Even if Charlie is dangerous on account of what she’s capable of, still as she tries to reason with John Rainbird later on, “it’s really not her fault,” if you really think about it. It was ultimately the result of her parents having participated in that Lot Six experiment in college, and all because they both were in dire need of loads of money. I remember reading in the book that Andy’s story anyway was that both his parents were dead, his only living relative was his mother’s sister, Aunt Cora, and even she was getting pretty old. Seems Andy might have been an only child, in fact.

I have; I know that the final flashback Andy has here is based on the part in the book where it’s the last week of the summer session(at the university where Andy teaches), he’s having lunch with some colleagues when all of a sudden he gets one of his “supernatural sixth senses,” that something “a little out of the ordinary has just happened at home.Vicky has been killed by the Shop agents, because they were after 6-year old Charlie, (who was playing at a friends house), demanding to know where she was and murdered Vicky in the process. Then after Andy was finally able to locate Charlie (thanks again to his supernatural hunches), “Harrison, Ohio was behind them; they would never come back. They were now on their trip East that would bring them to Granther’s cottage up in Vermont, fourteen months later.”
