I like how she freed the horeses showing the empathy along with her power, but in the new one she kinda goes full Anakin skywalker mode 😅 I’m forgetting the plot of the new one already tho….

I was surprised when the new kid not only spared Rainbird's life, but willingly went off with him. Even after he killed Charlie's mother. Compassion and forgiveness for one's enemies. I was not expecting that.😢❤
Firestarter is a great movie and I loved watching it
no need to compare the original will always be the best

Original version hands down won And I'm not just saying that because it was the year I was born it's just because it had way more action than the remake. I mean the remake looked rushed and like there was no thought put into it at all.
It's not 32 the original came out in 84.

True. The new version is so dark... Even watching it on hd it seems like the lighting is dimmed.

I grew up on the original simple as that, my dad raised us on that movie so I'm forever loyal to the original but I think they did an amazing job on the new one for this time and day
This character is the same as phoenix in X-Men
Drew Barrymore, hands down, is the winner. She was a better actress in her younger years than many adult actresses today. Also, the original 1982 Firestarter movie was a true horror movie rated R. Which used real practical special effects, with real stunt people and actors being set of fire for real. The PG-13 2022 remake of Firestarter, with its horrible acting, horrible CGI special effects, gets a big fat F in my book.
