Same. I was like. *Grabs the tissues* now I'm sitting on my bed sobbing.

This feels really strange. Like the person moving on is singing Remember Me. While the person left behind sings "When Somebody loved me". They feel like 2 halves of a long distance relationship. While one hopes they remain friends despite their moving on to the future. While said friend that stayed behind feels abandoned and unloved. One wants a friend to return, the other wants a friend to return to. I feel like this would make a brilliant Pixar movie.

If you must follow the relationship context, I feel like like the person singing "remember me" felt like they had to move on while still being in love because it was too painful. The person singing "when she loved me" doesn't realize that the other person really did love them but wasn't getting what they needed from them. Too many relationships end because it no longer is what it used to be. The person singing "remember me" wants the other person to remember what made the relationship what it used to be and remember to keep feeding and watering their next relationship if they couldn't for the previous one.

Both of you are right, at least for me on my past long distance relationship. It has to end but I'm still stuck in remembering what we had before. We were really happy back then but I guess you can fall out of love. That is what my partner did. She just chose to fall out of love and love someone else and forget what we had. She's happy now despite of what happened between us. At least she's happy.

Its so cool how music can be interpreted differently among different people. For me, this was a song about losing someone. The person who died wants to be remembered, and for the person living to cherish the memories they had together. Meanwhile, the person living, is doing just that. Cherishing the moments they had together, even after the end. And when she sings "until youre in my arms again.... remember me." Thats saying they will meet again in heaven, together again.

I have this story within my head about a girl having to leave behind her friend even though she doesn't want to, knowing it might hurt them. While the other part is about the friend and how they feel sad(angry even) that their friend abandoned them not know that something else might be happening.

That story is literally part of my life. It's been 8 months. Neither of us can speak to the other. He moved away, my best friend. His mother blocked me on everything. He told my sister he could never speak to me again and that I wouldn't understand what's happening and why we can't talk. He loved me. And I loved him. But we were pulled apart. He promised he would never leave me. He promised he would always be there if I needed him. But. Life had other plans.

my friend, who i have had for 4 years left me. left in september. im in california while she’s now in washington. we were such best friends, i always try to join games she’s in. she just leaves. she is hurting as much as i am. she dried my tears. she took my hand and dragged me out in dark places. we had to say what we loved about her in class. i ended up crying. at the end of the day i hugged her tightly, i wanted her to stay. i would die to be held in her embrace, even if it’s just once.

One of my closest friends recently committed suicide, he was a big fan of both Disney and Pixar and he always said his favorite was Coco. He also loved toy story, in our marching band show this year we had a feature with "When she loved me," and he told me after he came to watch that it was by far his favorite part. Its weird to me how songs can take on a different meaning once the situation changes, and how just some melodies and rhythms can so vividly remind us of someone or a time in our life. I just want to let you both know that these songs mean a lot to me, and I really enjoy your talent :)

2 years ago at January 26 my twin sister died she died in her sleep we were only 11 years old when she died. Dear Emely I don't know how to live without you You left me too early. We were only 11 years old. I know you are with God and the lord jesus christ, but it hurts. Dear Emely, I miss you so much. I hope you can rest in heaven. Nothing was wrong with you, but you died. It always break my heart whenever I listened to this song. I remembered my father. :(

Through most of this, I was thinking, "Yay! Somehow, it's not making me cry!" Then, we get to that very last "remember me" and "when she loved me" sung together, and the dam breaks. Are you happy now? You've made a grown woman cry.

I have a two year old daughter and both toy story 2 and coco are a staple before bed time. Everytime I hear these makes me realize more and more how this little girl saved my life! I cant imagine life without her.

I had a really rough time in the past year. During this whole pandemic, I was stuck home, and my nephew at the age of 8 always find time to play Minecraft and board games with me. I almost always felt that I was there to company him. Then one day a friend of mine told me "perhaps it was not you who is accompanying him, but it was him who was keeping you accompanied." It hit me so hard because I realised that I was so alone after a hard year, and I had to start my career all over from scratch during that time too. Now he is 9, and we still spend time together all the time playing Nintendo, card games, board games, Minecraft... but damn this kid is growing up so fast, I wonder a few years from now if he would still spend time with his uncle. Bloody brilliantly covered song. Really made me tear up thinking about this life we live.

My mom passed away last fall from cancer. Somehow although this song brings tears to my eyes everytime I listen, it brings me so much comfort and peace. My mom and I would sing together in.the car a lot and she loved harmonizing. I just picture us singing both parts to each other. I grew up watching Toy Story 2 at my moms house too. This song has always been close to my heart, my mothers name is Jessie as well, always reminding me how she loved me.❤ thank you for sharing this beautiful rendition

I lost both my grandparents, a week after the other after their torturous battle against Covid. My number one supporters. One of the only few who loves me unconditionally and has always been by my side from day 1. The thought of never hearing them again and never being able to hug them again hurts so much. This is truly the most gorgeous thing I have ever heard.

When I listen to this song, I remember my old best friend. I studied with her in the same class from 1st grade to 4th grade, we sat side by side, we laughed together. At the end of the 4th grade, she promised me that she would be with me in the 5th grade. When I went to the 5th grade, I didn't see her at school on the first day of the school year. My eyes were on the door of the classroom for 5 months. That was the first year of my depression. My friend moved out of town, but I don't know where. I didn't say my last goodbye and thank to her... Now, I'm in the 10th grade. And still, I miss her😭 Now I have very kind friends. But that friend was one of the kindest and big heartest I've ever seen. Her smile was everything to me. This medley is my life right now. Going through a divorce remembering when she loved me, then explaining to my children that I have to go away. My whole heart is in this song. I knew I was going to cry before I pressed play and I listened to it anyway. It was just the cry I needed right now.
