I had this as a kid. One of my favorite toys ever.
I had this toy when I was 7-years-old. 60 years later, I just bought another one!
I got one for Christmas in 1960, I was 6 years old.

I also got a Flying Fox for Christmas in 1960. I was 8 years old.
That kid on the right is the cutie from earlier Remco commercials. Such a great dude!!!
Got this for Christmas. Loved it. Was able to see real Electras on final to LGA from my Bronx backyard. Man, that was 50 years ago!
14.98 in '59 equates to over 100 bucks today!Expensive in its day!
Aww.......but I wanna do loop de loops
I still have mine - the engines run rough but they do run. Lights work too. It was a great toy in its time.
I had one of those bad boys when I was a little kid! I did love flying it around the world. My only disappointment was that it didn't come with a pilot uniform like the kids have in the ad.
that would cost $157 today. remco made some great toys, but they weren't cheap.
I like the comment at the end of the commercial "Not a Flying Toy"
I JUST BOUGHT ONE AT AN ESTATE SALE, MISSING BATTERY COVER, COOL TOY....
Who is the narrator in the commercial
I guess this was the closest toy comparable to Microsoft Flight Simulator that you could get back in the 1950s.
imagination... imagination thats the appeal
I dont really see the appeal in that toy. It was attached to the cockpit even though the commercial says it's soaring in the air!
What the fliyin fuck
Most of the toys advretised back the,n were cheap plastic pieces of junk that never worked!!
