I don't know if I've ever seen Paula sober. In the clip with Leona, she looks like she doesn't know where she is or what she's supposed to be doing. She was like that since the beginning of her talent show days. Always hard to watch her. Such a beautiful talent looking like she's on another planet. Aside from that, I loved seeing some old favorites here. Susan Boyle's audition was probably the most memorable of all talent shows, ever!

Agree about Susan. Apart from being enormously talented, she’s endured a lot. She looked after her ailing mother for years & was much later diagnosed with Asperger’s. Imagine how tough it would’ve been for a older, Aspy person to fly to England & audition at 47? They were all laughing at her to begin with (& shame on them), they weren’t laughing afterwards! People really took to Susan as she’s a very DTE, lovely lady. Remember, it’s never too late to follow your dreams!

@@renb6133 She lives in England. She didn't fly there. Pretty sure. But, you're right that she worked hard for it and deserved her success. Don't know what "DTE" means in your statement. Sure would be nice if people could write words out. It's not like we're having a word shortage or something.

Never heard of him, but this was NOT a strong audition. He's besides it on several occasions and his voice is quite feeble. Guess he has his looks and boyish charm working for him.

This near miss ultimately led to Niall being teamed with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik to form the band One Direction which was signed by Simon Cowell and became quite successful.

So glad they told Leona Lewis to not do the American thing with her voice. I hate it when the run the scale. I remember when Reba started that and I stopped listening and buying her music.
