They did. There should be a 2 on 1 disc for ps3 I remember it in stores lol. Also Jettro you should look up plot videos on. Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta. They were psp games that fill in some of the lore. People like Kratos brother, mom, and other gods he's fought/killed.

There are 3 versions of the Blades. Blades of Chaos (GoW1), then once Kratos becomes the God of War I’m pretty sure he gets the Blades of Athena for GoW2, then he gets the Blades of Exile in GoW 3. My guess is how Kratos has the original form of the Blades of Chaos in GOW4 is that the blades “reset” back into their original form after the destruction of Olympus in GoW3. You can also look into the God of War “Fallen God” comic book series, which takes place after GoW3 but before 4

They aren't the same Blades, Athena's Blades were a separate set given to him by the goddess, and then were changed into the Blades of Exile. You can tell because Kratos wears gauntlets over his wrists that the Blades are connected to, rather than just directly _on_ his wrists like the Blades of Chaos, and the strategy guides also confirm it in their descriptions of the Blades.

@@balanc-joy9187 its the same blades. It was confirmed in the novel. After kratos equipment got destroyed in gow 3 in the end, the blades of exile lost all it's upgrades and magic and reverted back to the blades of chaos. Kratos than chucked the blades of chaos off the mountain but then it appeared next to him again moments later revealing he was cursed to not be able to get rid of the blades and he also realized he was cursed to not be able to take his own life.

Apparently yeah the grave digger was zeus cuz in god of war: ghost of sparta on the psp you could play as the grave digger and while playing as him he transforms into zeus with the blade of olympus. Meaning zeus was the one who brought him back from dead to kill ares.

Kratos actually has two seperate sets of Blades, the Blades of Chaos, that he uses in the first three games, but in the first original game, when Ares stripped them from him, he didn't get those back, so Athena gave him her own version of them, The Blades of Athena, which he wore via gauntlets that covered the spot where the first blades had burned into his wrists. Those were later reforged into the Blades of Exile in the third game, and then at the very end, Kratos cast them aside, no longer needing them, and presumably they were rendered powerless. How Kratos ended up with the Blades of Chaos again is not explained in the new parts of the story, but there is some extra material that gives an explanation that they are bound to Kratos magically, and despite his attempts to rid himself of them, they always found their way back to him, so he ended up just burying them under his house.

Actually it was said somewhere outside gameplay and confirmed by devs that ares had put a curse on the blades so that no matter how hard he tried to get rid of the weapons that caused him so much pain in his life they would end up back with him out of the blue when ares did this is unknown I would love to think he pre prepped it before kratos asked for his help in that battle with the barbarians

Ares gave him the blades of Chaos and then lost them in his fight with ares. Athena gave Kratos the blades of Athena when he became the god of war and in GoW 3 Athena turned them into the blades of exile. Then after GoW 3 the blades of chaos returned to his side magically

The last bit is thanks to ares he put a curse on them so when he gave them to kratos he made sure he couldn't get rid of them even if kratos found a way to get the chains off his arms

I’ve played all the god of war games except for ragnarok still have yet to play and my favorites are honestly chains of Olympus and god of war 1 as they go into depth of the backstory of kratos and really shows his character development in my opinion

The story is so cool cause you start with Kratos brother getting attacked by Aries and Athena because of a prophecy of a marked child being the cause of Zeus death, then you learn Zeus’s father did that same thing, and zeus repeated the cycle with Kratos and his brother. Thats what makes Atreus asking if this story is a cycle fathers killing sone, of sons killing their fathers.

That's very likely to happen. Because the first idea for God of War 3 was that Kratos would kill Zeus early on, and then the Norse and Egyptian gods would arrive to fight about who gets to rule now that the greek gods are dead, and then Kratos would kill those as well. Given we already did kill the Norse gods now, it would only make sense that the egyptians are next.

Hey so i am probably late at this one and by now you must already know this but i am gonna say it anyway, There are Totally 8 games in this God of War Series Ragnarok being the 9th. All the Story before Kratos became the God of War and sat on the Throne was from God of War Chains of Olympus, God Of war Ascension and some parts from God of War Ghost of Sparta (Ghost of Sparta is set between the events of GOW1 and GOW2). Kratos had 3 versions of Blades, Blades of Chaos being the Primary one given by Aries which was then replaced by Blades of Athena ( Given to him by Athena at the end of GOW1) which was then again replaced by Blades of Exile given to Kratos by the higher existence Athena at the start of GOW3. Blades of Athena and Exile were either destroyed or abandoned. While Blades of Chaos was probably still in the Throne Room of Kratos. I am not sure but i read or heard somewhere that since the Blades of Chaos were a Curse to Kratos, it was meant to follow him everywhere he goes, which is why Kratos has it in GOW4 instead of Blades of Exile. Though exact explanation was not given by Santa Monica Studios on the Blades Situation, it’s more like a plot hole in the entire series lol. Its’s a theory I would like to believe that the blades of chaos were meant to Follow Kratos as long as he is alive. Kratos is also cursed to not die by Sucide. Kratos cannot take his own life.

Yeah Demi God just means one parent is a god, the other is a mortal. Kratos father was Zeus, his mother was a human woman, therefore Demi-God.

Imagine kratos dies like how they showed us in gow 2018 on the wall and kratos says to Atreus that atreus has to kill kratos to become the new gow in my opinion that would be soooooo fire

Well most of the gods can freely change their size. We see gods becoming bigger several times. So Chronos probably could do that too.

Jet look into PlayStation 2 emulation. It’s really easy just look up a tutorial. You can most ps2 games with hd graphics for free.
