Love the Windzip jacket; I would agree with you on sizing of the jacket. If you're slimmer and want something that could be your main outer layer over a shirt like you said definitely go one size down. I normally wear a large and it feels like I'm swimming in their large. I can combine this with a rain jacket and be nice and warm. And I love the wet cement color!

I haven't needed to wear the jacket under rain gear yet, but eventually it will get cold here and I'll be out in the freezing rain! But I have worn the vest more times than I thought I did under rain gear (this morning included). And they really are great pieces of mid layer/outerwear to have.... and the Wet Cement is my favorite color.

@@jeffgrantMEDIA I don't own the vest or I might go that route especially to wear when I play golf. Have the popover and quilted tanker as well; Relwen makes some great great!

I watched to support your algorithm. I'm not a fan of this type of gear. They issued some of it to us in Afghanistan, but it kept ripping. We went quickly back to the old nylon and canvas gear. It was heavier, which sucked, but it didn't break. If you want to test something, give it to a bunch of enlisted guys. I think that even skewed my visual perception of that style of clothing. I don't even like the look. I will say the underwear, baselayers, and midlayers work great. They kept you warm, wicked moisture, and are lightweight. Jackets and over pants are no Bueno, though.

The shell of this jacket and vest are nylon. Compared to polyester shells of most outdoor oriented puffer jackets. Those are meant for backpacking and hiking. While I find most of them to be pretty durable, that’s for their intended use, or casual wear. They would not hold up for a deployment. Heck most through hikers have tons of patches on their puffers. But this shell is going to be more durable. But heavier. I would wear this on a hike, but not on and overnight trip. So somethings like the Relwen gear would hold up better. But some tiptop nylon is what you would really need in the field. That would prevent rips/tears from getting larger. And THSNKS FOR WATCHING! I really appreciate it!

@jeffgrantMEDIA Nylon is a big improvement. I'm glad that's the direction they went. At the prices these items cost, they should be more durable. Nylon is the right direction.

Absurdly overpriced for a mic garment.

Premium products carry a premium press. While this is by no means a luxury product, which can carry thousands of dollars price tag for even a lesser quality garment. I feel the price point is pretty fair for these. These are something that if you wear properly and don’t abuse, you will have for the rest of your life. Hell they are far cheaper and what people are charging for a used abuse Warnock Carhartt jacket from 20 years ago. Those might even fall into the “stolen valor” category. Trying to make yourself look like you worked hard when you’ve done absolutely nothing in your whole life.
