i mean not really if you follow the strat he did in the video, all you have to do is space her and keep your distance, she only has like 2 moves that actually close the range, so as long as you can identify those two then its pretty easy to dodge.

Agreed. A lot of people seem to dislike her, but she is like a cross between Pontiff and the good parts of Malenia.

I'm about 90 minutes in to fighting her and it's getter easier/funner. I came to see a no hit run for comparison and I think I'm on the right track. Good work.

Also, her phase transition is a very easy point to get a lot of damage in and poise break her, then she usually goes into the moon veil spam move and you can go up into her and poise break her again

Nope, on every new game plus cycle, the enemies' poise damage resistance increases. The recovery time stays the same.

When I fought her, she kept going for 6+ hit combos but against you she only did that like once. Is it RNG or spacing?

@@Bob-iy7vg If you're going for stance breaks, use daggers/fan daggers or similar items to prevent her posture from regenerating. Besides that, any attack with high posture damage will do - I made good use of hammer guard counters and timing blocking well.

Not quite, you are describing post patch 1.06 light roll. Before that, fighting malenia with light or med roll is exactly the same.

@@themanbeanz1754 you got it wrong, Malenia wasn’t buffed or nerfed. We got buffed, patch 1.06 increase roll distance for light roll, so most if not all of her combo/attack can simply be dodged by rolling backward. Before 1.06 you can get roll catches if you roll backward instead of into her for some attack, also it opened a new method to dodge point blank waterfowl which was only possible if you trick the AI first by running around her.

It’s pretty irrelevant as he is playing NG 7+. Any advantage he has due to weapons, skills and levels will be normalized by default. He also didn’t get hit.

Pretty sure he's max level. Those look like maxed out health and stamina bars, and he's put into the description that he has strength and dex maxed out Edit: he's not, only has 43 arcane

What I do and I’m assuming he dose the same is the first handful of attempts Just wait it out to learn the boss, and then once enough knowledge has been made just go with it until something new or completion, as for if you get hit when you kill the boss which has happened to me multiple times I always just have a save backup at the ready

This is the most poorly designed remembrance boss in all of Elden Ring. Only way to beat her without getting hit is to bait her into attacking the air. This is the only boss that has that requirement. Only reason this guy was able to do this no hit kill (not to take away from his skill, he is a great player) is because she never casted a Glintblade at a bad moment for him. I’ve had times that she casted Glintblade twice right before she did the double moon thing. Literally unavoidable.

you're right and those runs where she does that are unfortunate, I've had her cast the swords then do the moonveil slice at the same time. I think when she does it you just have to tank the swords and then dodge the more dangerous attack. Also I think she didn't cast because he kept right outside of her sword range so she kept charging in rather than magic because he wasn't too far.
