I appreciate they acknowledge you putting in the effort to qualify, even if you were screwed by RNG. Nothing worst feeling then building 100 manufactories across your empire, with more on the way. Only for Manufacturing to spawn in the one Rwanda state, that built one manufactory, stifling the spread to the whole rest of the world.

Seems like the redacted will be some kind of national bonus, like how embracing global trade will give you +1 merchant. Or maybe it's the age-specific effects like justified wars

Redacted could be trade area and types. Which would make sense. It might also be Religious spread distance, to show how little communities start popping up all over the world as new institutions and trade develops. I hope trade nodes are a slightly different mini-game than it was. So anyone can be an offbrand Venice (or a mini-Pope) if I'm right about it being both. It'd be fun to go down a trade path, a religious path, a development path, or a bit of all three. Establish trade (and possibly colony range) relations a bit further afield, declare a holy site/ religious outpost, spooge a touch more development inside or outside your nation/empire, or just get internally better at all three. Not just a merchant, but multiple options for each institution.

Hope they introduce some more RP features like with CK3. I'd love to really be able to follow a family from CK3 to EU5!
