@@bornstandin I was VERY young when soldiers returning from Viet Nam came down 2nd Ave in NYC. I watched them get booed and stuff thrown at them. It stayed with me and upset me greatly. My mom cried. NO soldier, that fights for America's TRUE values and Constitution, should EVER be treated like that. EVER!

I let it be known that I was standing FOR them, as well as with them, because the treatment they faced upon their return was so wrong. With all due respect, you need to do some research if you think our soldiers fight for "America's values," unless if by "true," you mean capitalism to the point of greed and world domination. Our guys still struggle with the fact that they participated in the slaughter of so many innocent villagers in that jungle. As far as fighting for our constitution, it ends at our borders. If you truly care about our constitution, vote against Project 2025. If that agenda is implemented, it will be the end our democracy. Rome didn't fall overnight... 🇺🇸

They ALWAYS fall back on the terms "The Word of God" and "Gods Will" in their arguments. Recently had a discussion with a christian nationalist and it was scary. According to this person, God forgives people their sins. This does not however, apply to women. They truly think God sent them to pass judgement on others and these people are our saviors. If God exists, I'll let him judge me by my sins, not some mysoginistic creep. Ladies, vote blue!!!!!

I’ve always wondered, how can someone say they are a Christian yet be so filled with hate.

Well, now they're virtue signaling by being militantly pro-israel. Though, there's is no monolithic "they." Plenty of them are secrety both antisemitic and anti-Muslim, but letting the pro-Israel nuts provide cover. And yet others are genuinely pro-Israel and only want to see the rest of the middle east destroyed... :/

They showed up in my town, spent some time protesting at a college. Then they went to the high school to protest a Bible course taught there, don't know why they were protesting that. The high school knew they were coming so, they had an ice cream social on the other side of the high school to keep them away from the kids. Westboro left all angry. I loved that they were protesting by a college and a frat house was across the street. In a recording you can see windows of the frat come open, speakers appear in the windows and the song "I'm coming out" starts blaring and all the frat boys come running out and start dancing and pretending they are doing sex acts. Right across the street from Westboro. Westboro left. A gay couple bought a house down the street from Westboro church and painted it like a rainbow.

I almost went to that show Kansas City, and I wish I had. Would have been worth the 3 hour drive down there. They got on the flatbed and sang a song about man love, directly at WBC. It was awesome (they have the video on their channel). Foo Fighters don’t tolerate hate, and they are not at all intimidated by WBC. Love them for that.

Way too many criminally insane people running around loose out there.

This is why my parents and I don't go to church much. Some religious karens and kevins are very abusive over a simple life of things.

Westboro are so far away from being Christian it’s ridiculous

I was a funeral director in Wichita, Kansas when we held a service for a fallen hero. With the help of the family, we sent up donation cans and pledges based on how any minutes they stood there protesting. We raised a lot of money for a local gay organization. Then when we got to the cemetery, there was a large crowd of military veterans on motorcycles which kept them away from the grieving family. They never came to one of our funerals again. I just wish I saw their faces when they received the Thank You from the gay organization. You fight hate with ingenuity, because their heads are full of Stilton Cheese.

I went to school with two of Phelps' boys. The church regularly had fundraisers (selling candy bars), and they could not go home until they sold their quota. You would see them on the street at ten at night, hitting all the bars and trying to sell enough so they could go home. Even before he was disbarred, he was a total whack job.

It shows the power of cult mentality, on a larger scale Nazi Germany, and currently a large number of Republicans. It's a form of mass physios, and if not resisted could spiral out of control leading to the death and destruction of people and entire countries. Bad things happen if good people do nothing, vote while it still matters.

So, ‘Christians’ who ignore the words of Christ, then.

I had not seen how the daughter turned around by listening to reason and at the same time heeding the teachings of Jesus. Judge not. Love thy neighbors. Be thou compassionate. Wrath is a sin. Christians, agnostics, and even atheists must see the wisdom in these words. Jesus, whether you see him as real or not, miraculous or not, he was a man of peace and love. There is no way he would favor nationalism, fascism, or a theocracy in his name.

Why would you even say something so easily disproven? I've read the old testament. That is not a god of love. That is an immature, murderous 6yo brat with cosmic powers it has no idea what to do with or how to control. And the new testament alleges that Jesus is a facet of god, who "did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it." So everything in the bible except for animal sacrifice is still in full force, according to the bible. Fortunately, it's fiction, so it's all irrelevant anyway. But yes, putting the christian god next to hate makes perfect sense. No contradiction there at all. If you disagree, I recommend you actually read the bible cover to cover for once.

This "church" shows how evil can subvert cult members to evil. Trump does the same. Both have about the same lack of interest in following Jesus.

Each protrators from WBC meant X dollars to the charity. She led the entire audience out to see her count them, and using her amplified voice make sure the WBC members knew what they'd done that day. LL was a genius in this.
