I am mixed European and lived in Russia when i was very young.. (my ancestry is French and Italian, mainly) Seems like you are a true polyglot as well.. Respect!! I think there could be a whole episode on Catholic religion and culture in Mexico. You might even have an episode devoted solely to our Lady of Guadalupe. In any case, this episode, though great, only touched the surface of this topic.

I also grew up in Church and there are a lot of religions in the United States. But as I grew older I stopped going but I do read the Holy Bible. Each day passes it is apparent that I need God and his word. May we all find the truth and God Bless us all.

@ok 01 All of those that believe in God and his son Jesus Christ, need to read the bible, since it is the word of God for us. And yes! The bible was written by men, but they were inspired by God - they met God and were transformed by its holy spirit. They were born again, not from the flesh, but from the water and the spirit. Even if you haven't had this experience yet, I'd really recomend you - regardless of religion, God exists. He's real and loves you. Yet when you mock him, he's still trying to save you from devil's hands. But if you prefer the evil, nothing else could be done. There're only two paths, the light and the darkness; life and death, the good and the evil. Anyway, I'll pray for you to find the truth, the only path that leads to heaven, Jesus Christ.

Samuel, In the book of James 2:26 it's written that "faith without deeds is dead." And Psalms 133:1 says: "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity." In other words, you make part of a great family. If you live far from your family, you are likely to be always sad and frustated towards your life. Go back and start attending your church, I'm sure God will surprise you with the power of his hands. And if you allow him, he will use you to save other people.

@ok 01 The only brainwashed here are you, by the media and intertainment industry. They all work day and night to make you believe we are fanatics, fool and comic. Don't matter what they (other religious) told you, no other religion leads to the true God. Mohamed, Budha, Krishna or whatever, none of them was dead for you and me. None of them taught about true love. Even budhists, hindus and muslims took comandments and taughts from the bible. No other religion has a begining and ending history (from Genesis to Revelations). And finally, no other one rose from death, for he is the life in himself. Jesus said he was the way, the truth and the life we should follow (John 14:6).

O sea is the equivalent of the valley word LIKE. It's used but not as much as some people use. It's similar to how California valley girl LIKE. People in Mexico, especially the capital have a tendency to over use it. It's considered a word used by preppies.

Cuando era niño tenía que ir a la iglesia cada domingo (católica) pero como adulto casi no la voy nunca. Me gusta la idea de que alguien puede ser muy espiritual (incluso religioso si quiere) pero no _tiene que_ seguir las leyes de una iglesia en particular. Nadie debería sentirse triste o obligado en alguna manera. ¡Saludos!

Qué video increíble. De veras la mujer que habló del Popol Vuh es encantadora. A parte de eso, me parece que el Mexico, por lo menos en lo que se refiere al Catolicismo es un poquito parecido al Brasil. La gente suele asustar chicos con estas cosas como "si lo haces esto no vas a ir al cielo". Y por lo general las personas dicen tener una religion, pero la mayoría no es practicante, creo que un poco porque el mundo esta cambiando y la nueva generación esta haciendo una separación de lo bueno y de lo malo de la religión, diferente de espiritualidad que es algo más personal, todos debemos tener espiritualidad, pero ni simpre una religión, ya que a lo largo de los años algunas religiones "incitaban" el prejuício.

Este video me gustò muchisimo. Yo penso como la mayorìa de las personas intervistadas che espiritualidad y religiòn no son la misma cosa. Existen juntos y pueden ir su binarios separados. Una persona puede creer en la energia, en la spiritualidad sin ceer necesariamente en Dio o sin seguir una determinada religiòn. Creo que las acciones definen a las personas. Si una persona se comporta bien y es amable con los demás, entonces recibirá mucho a cambio. Además, Jesús dijo: amarás tu cercanía como tú mismo. Este es un hermoso mandamiento. Amarse y amar los demas. Para mí esto es muy importante. Yo soy de Italia, que es un Paìs catòlico (Ciudad de Vaticano llega en la nuestra capital...).

Based on all the positive comments on the lady who talked about Popul Vuh and this lesson in general, I'd like to make a few suggestions Easy Spanish. 1) Have a Part II episode in which this topic is revisited, preferably with that lady taking part. 2) Have another episode devoted just to the spirituality of pre-Columbian Mexico. Viewers, I believe, were very interested in that lady's comments on the myths and beliefs of indigenous peoples. 3) Have an episode about traditional healers, who use traditional/spiritual means to heal. 4) Have a lesson about our Lady of Guadalupe, who bridged the gap between pre and post-Columbian spirituality.

Tengo un miedo que easy spanish va a desaparecer porque no tiene una auditoria necesitalmente alta, pero tiengo fe que usted va a continuar eso canal en futuro. Me ayuda mucho!

Jumping around from person to person instead of just hearing what one person has to say, and then moving on to the next person, is confusing and I don't think it makes the video any more interesting. But, still a very useful exercise in real Spanish. Thank you.

Muy buen trabajo Easy Spanish! Cada vez entiendo más el español. Yo creo en Jesús Cristo y quisiera a los mexicanos que conocieron a Díos verdaderamente. No como la iglesia católica los ha ensinado, si no como a Jesús Cristo ensina. Aquellos que no nacen dela água y del espíritu no pueden ver el Reino de Díos - libro de Juán 3:3 (Bíblia). Sin una transformación y un nuevo nacimiento en Cristo Jesús nadie podrá ver a Díos. Díos los bendiga 👍 Saludos.

I feel sorry for the young man in red, who said, "I believe in myself". I see God in nature, in people, in everything and when things don't go my way, it is a test of my faith to keep going. There is so much drug addiction, suicide, divorce, loneliness, porn addiction etc. because so many people believe in nothing. Immediate self-gratification is the only thing people live for. It's sad.

Jeremiah 17:5 - "Cursed is the man that trusts in man, and makes flesh his strength (...)" Jeremiah 17:9 - "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure (...)". I've noticed how people in México are far from God. I'm from Brazil, and here we also got a lot of atheists and heathens, but one thing for sure, God is giving us a new revival. He's showing us the truth, and our sins, so that we repent of our sins. But it makes me sad how other countries seems to be blind and closed to the word of God. And so, they can't taste the power of God in their lives. I'm afraid of that has being more about a choice of their own, than the lack of the opportunity of hearing the word of God.

Because the spanish created what is now mexico nowaday Mexian language , culture and religion belong to spain

El secularismo está avanzado en México, tristemente.

En fin... que limitado y superficial se ve el discurso de todos (incluído el ateo). Léxica y conceptualmente hablando. Harían bien en profundizar en el estudio teológico, no para que se adscriban a uno u otro credo, si no para conocer y entender mejor su acervo cultural y para que maduren y profundicen en su espiritualidad personal. Porque ha sido como oir a adolescentes hablando (y ya sabemos que los adolescentes tienen la profundidad de un charco XD )

Y mucha gente cree que es religioso mexico, pero como yo les digo, que es algo mas parte de la cultura y no parte de nuestra vida cutodiana. Creo que los italianos son much mas. En Mexico es como un fachada porque tiene mucho poder lamentablemente la iglesia catolica

It's kind of weird that you guys have found an atheist, a Jew, and a Mormon in Mexico City, but didn't find any devout Catholic, which would be needed for a discussion to be balanced. Otherwise, it sort of misrepresents the people of Mexico. I really love your videos and watch every one of them as soon as they are released, but this time, I was disappointed.

Not necessarily, in the south of Mexico and with the younger generation of people living in big cities, is more common to see people with more diverse and different points of view in regards of topics like religion and politics, in the north this is the case also but is a little less common, take this with a pinch of salt because i'm from the north, the majority of people in Mexico that affiliates with a certain religion is for tradition and especially in the older generation (my fathers and grandfathers for example). If you notice, in the minute 5:30 approximately, the gentleman explains this very well and i agree in what he says, depends on the city also.

Every producer or artist always shows what he wants to show in his work. They won't show much of what they don't believe in. So if they don't believe in God it just feels more comfortable and natural for them to show people like in this video.
