I listen to this through headphones while I write. I suffer from tinnitus, which is a constant loud noise in my ear, (in my case, mostly white noise with a bit of a scratchy whistle), and this recording makes my tinnitus almost unnoticeable. It relaxes me. Thank you for posting this.

Same. Mine is a high pitched ringing and it gets worse when I'm stressed or when depression attacks. This ambient sound drowns it out and relaxes me.

My tinnitus is so random... sometimes it will be almost non-existent, other times it's right in my face and unbearable. There are also different versions, some of which I find more annoying or strange than the others. Having white noise like rain or ocean waves (+sometimes music) is the only way I can sleep.

As a little girl, I always loved playing in the rain barefooted. Even now as an adult I still do. Or, I love to be snuggled up under my blankets/comforter; allowing the rain to ease me to sleep.

Light rain has prehistoric significance for providing comfort. It means water is going to be available in the area and also the water washes away any scent or tracks for animals or others to follow. Same thing with campfire because it provides safety from wild animals and so we feel comfortable.

For people with anxiety: Close your eyes, listen deeply to the waves, breathe in count to 5, breathe out count to five do this for as many times until you are calm or asleep. Don’t forget you’re not alone you are loved you are strong you are special. I love you

I live ten minutes away from a Rocky Mountain wilderness area. I enjoy listening to the falling rain and the sound also of the Little Boulder River becoming engorged with water and washing river banks away and changing the course of the river itself.

This is one of the most enjoyable videos ever seen. I find it in the right moment .Thank you so much

I DO love rain sounds. Great vid. My youngest baby granddaughter, just a newborn, lives with me, for complicated reasons. Loves the sounds, too. She just pops right off to sleep, keeps her snoozing for a long time.👼😁

There are hundreds of rain videos on KZread but if I had to limit myself to just one, it would be this one! It is totally blissful.

That smell some people mention is called petrichor ... earthy scent when rain falls on dry soil

I love the relaxation & tranquility the rain brings me. I try to listen every night in my "she shed" before I go to bed. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, a few years ago after a bad fall. Anyway, I'm in constant pain 24 hrs. 7 days a week. The rain helps my body completely relax. Many times I go in my shed upset, tired, irritable, depressed that I feel like I'm ready to give up and throw in the towel. I just want you to know that your music gets me through many sleepless nights. Thank you for making it possible. I'm going to share your link to a support group made of fibromyalgia patients, who can use a couple hours of zzzzz time. God bless you always.

I grew up in the desert with triple digits in the summer so when we moved to OR I instantly fell in love with the rain. Yes I enjoy the warmth of the sun but my nickname is the rain lady given to me years ago. 😊 I enjoy a good storm. Call me crazy. I never confess to be normal. 😄

I've been listening to it for sometime, suddenly woke up in a semi sleepy state and found myself in my grandma's lap, late 80s in a rural house with no electricity, these sounds mixed with the crackling of burning wood at the fireplace made me felt at peace yet i somehow knew it wasn't real and a tear rolled down off my cheek

I find the sound of rain so soothing,if I pull up onto my drive and it's raining I will sit in my car just listening to the sound of the pitter patter that the rain make's, it's 1.30 in the morning and I can't sleep due to pain so hopefully this soothing sound will send me off to sleep.

Been through so much all I can do to think about peace is listen and watch rain.

This reminds me of when me and my cousin used to hitchhike and laugh, talk and play around in the forest. One day it was super sunny and hot then the next hour it was cloudy. The next thing we know, it was dark and we heard the rumbles of what sounded like thunder. We decided to walk back to the car but as we were walking back we felt droplets of rain hit our heads. We started to pick up our pace then next thing we know its pouring. We laughed and dodged puddles on our way back. It was so comforting to be in the car watching the water droplets race down the windshield and hearing the little taps on the roof of my cousins SUV. Although it was dark and rainy, I still enjoyed the moment. That memory will always live with me, as well as the memory of my beloved cousin. R.I.P. ❤️

That picture speaks to my soul. People, if it's not long enough just loop it. Then it will go on as long as you like.

Tonight I listened to this in full as I studied for my finals with a cup of tea, a candle, and a winter storm blowing in outside my window. perfect peace while studying.
