How are you able to massage with nails that long? What state are you in where they allow nails?? I ask because my school told us we couldn’t have nails due to bacteria being held under the nail bed and cuticle, also the possibility of scratching clients. We have to use our finger tips a lot to get into muscle. I have never even seen nails in professional massage before. I’m just curious how you could do this without issues? I’m asking all the above out of pure curiosity not criticizing, for real if laws have changed and we can have nails it would be nice for me so I could have nice long nails again.

I can only join you in this question. I was trained and took my examin in 1999. The biggest NO NO was long nails.

@Polar Bear I was wondering the same thing, they are in Texas they must allow Massage Therapist to have long nails there and seeing as how no one from there has responded to your question signals to me that's it's Not Allowed, perhaps for filming purposes 🤔 but still it's misleading to new massage therapist out there who watch their videos and see this.

No long nails are not allowed for any beauty/spa therapist it is unacceptable in any country or state

For those who are wondering about the therapist nails . . . NO! Professional Beauty/Spa Therapists are not allowed to have long nails. Especially, fake or acrylic nails. The only time you would be allowed to have long nails is if you are a nail technician because it promotes the nail industry you would be working in. Massages, however is a definite no no. Most spas/salons will not allow you to even wear nail polish either. As a professional myself, this routine isn’t a firm or proper massage either. You can tell she couldn’t do much with her fingers because of her long nails. It’s more than just putting oil and brushing your hands on a clients body. It is also very unhygienic and it is also for health and safety as you will hurt the client. I’ve seen clients with scratches and even bleeding from a therapist having long nails while giving them a massage. It is also seen as unprofessional as well.

I understand the need for ads in videos. This one just has far too much time spent on ads vs video length. Otherwise it's a fantastic ASMR video

I think you should work on how you present the sponsorship. It seemed very forced and awkward to have Nicole do it in the middle of the massage. The product was nice though. Maybe have her do the sponsorship at the beginning before diving into the massage?

Those hideously long nails distracts from the massage.

These massage vids from Psychetruth used to be of such a high quality. Now it's unprofessional and lazy. Crazy long nails and promo's... They used to be better than this
