My cousin found a ballad blues CD floating in a river in my little town in the interior of Rio de Janeiro, and gave it to me. I had it until recently. Then my brother bought a magazine and got a CD by a Jazz Big Band. it's been about 25 years... I was learning to play Bossa Nova on my old guitar, with friends. I studied at night, worked for my father in the morning, bathed in the river in the afternoon, discussing soccer, politics, God and laughing a lot. It was a good time, I always remember that when I listen to these songs. A calmer, more melancholy self.

wasnlt it worse decades ago? when some Mobster came out of jail after some many long long years he left NY bcs the side streets were full of light and police simpky shot at everyone trying something,,.,🤔he said: it,s not his NY anymore and moved to Baltimore....(?) well, hat was 20 yes ago...

@@SR-gs8zo You guys are both obviously youngsters. NYC 70's Game Over. I was in Manhattan for about a week, just a few years back, out till 5am. And? Little Slice Of Heaven....Or of a "Big Apple."

Someday i will go to NY , and I will go to central park and I will search in youtube this relax music, and slowly I will put on the headphones and then , only then I will think of each one of you!!!! And possibly you are there that same day , may be....

I believe New Orleans was the birthplace of jazz. It was in the Storyville neighborhood. There is a band that still plays old time jazz called “Preservation Jazz Band.” 😄

Music, in all it's various forms: Vast amounts of music: Whichever music affects you deep inside, is in part where you are at in this time of your existence. Different music might affect one differently at different times of one's existence. Music in part can help tell you where you are at psychologically at this time of your existence. Music can also affect different entities differently. Basically, to each their own, wherever they are in their time of existence. Until the music plays no more for that entity to experience it. And it appears the music ends for each and every one of us one day, and will be no more for all the rest of future eternity. Enjoy the music while we have it to enjoy.

NY is a wacky place. I remember one day I flew there and I was standing on a corner, any corner, don't recall what corner, and I turned around and saw that Roy Ayers was appearing at that club that night, and told my wife lets check it out and met Roy again at another show and he remembered me from Cleveland when I saw him at a show there. It's an interesting place to play around, that's for sure, and leaves DC in the dust for fun.

I like to listen to this type of music after I have rough a day, it's nice to sit and reflect with the aid of a smoke and a drink of something.
