ABOUT THE SPEAKER -
Mufti Ismail Menk of Zimbabwe commenced hifz at the tender age of nine years and completed at the age of twelve. He studied Arabic, Urdu and the Hanafi Mazhab from a young age with his father Maulana Musa Menk who graduated in Mazahirul Uloom Shahjahanpur under Hazrat Shaikh Maulana Zakaria (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) in the late 1950's.
Having studied the Hanafi Mazhab he then went on to study at the Islamic University of Madinah where he completed a degree in Shariah on the four Mazhabs. Thereafter he joined the Iftah (Mufti) department of Darul Uloom Kantaria in Gujarat, India where he graduated under Mufti Ismail Barkodrah at the end of 1999.
Ever since he has been actively engaged in teaching, lecturing country wide, running of Islamic educational institutes for the under privileged as well as the orphans, construction of Masajid and Madaris, relief work and coordinated dawaah country wide. Really enjoyed this sermon. I am not a Muslim and I will never be one bcoz I love Christ... I believe appreciation should be given where it is due which is why I decided to comment here.... I really enjoy listening to Mufti Menk because he knows how to tackle issues and discuss them in the right manner... May he continue to speak the truth to the hearts of all people of this world especially those who do not know God so that we can have a better and peaceful world...
You are right; how about mothers who use black magic, bully you to marry someone for riches and screams when you seek a religious spouse, and harms your children? May Allah protect us from parents who take advantage of the authority Allah has given them over their children.

Sheik Menk you are such a wonderful role model ma sha Allah. In this day and age we parents are somewhat confused about the direction we should take in rearing our children. We live in a wonderful country in the West, that has given us the freedom to live as we please. Alhumduliallah we were raised as Muslims, from a cultural Middle Eastern Background. The tricky aspect of parenting today is that the rules that governed children and their role within the family has changed dramatically. Your lecture was wonderful as it addressed all the key elements without being directed just at one culture. Jazakumallah Kheir and may Allah give you health and strength to continue educating us in a fashion that we can understand and appreciate.
Excellent lecture, but will be more excellent if we take heed. May Allah SWT grant Mufti Menk many years with us In Shaa Allah and also grant him more wisdom, as well as all our Ulemah IA.
violence has no place in Islam. Violence shows the man is insecure and is weak. This man speaks practical Islam. Unlike other so Called experts of Islam who run their tanks dry , by just talking some abstract things about God and stop running their mouths , when they run out of their talking energy.May God bless this man with peace and progress.
