Relational reality: Charlene Spretnak at TEDxManhattanBeach
Charlene Spretnak is an author and activist who has long been fascinated with the subject of interrelatedness. In her talk, Charlene cites several recent discoveries indicating that all of physical reality, including humans, is far more dynamically interrelated than our modern schooling had supposed. These new discoveries reveal the impact of our relationships -- with other people and with nature -- on childhood development, intelligence, healing, and our life-long health and well-being.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. All that is macrocosmic and all that is microcosmic is mutually inclusive. This is the universality of our existence as sentient beings on this singular world which again is one with the entire cosmos it inhabits. Likewise, this discrete lifetime we experience temporarily is one with the eternity of life. Rather akin to the wave theory, life and death are just oscillations of that which is latent and that which is manifest. As Charlene says, everything throughout the multiverse is interrelated, interconnected and mutually functional. In the meantime, we get on with our daily lives sharing our sufferings and sharing our joys, cultivating all that is humane and life enhancing. This is what it means to be a humane being. Real prosperity and true security only arises from peaceful coexistence, treating the next person with kindness and respect. Such is the way I experience the time that has been gifted to me here. I wish you well !
Studies have many variables and as such cannot be used to determine someones theory.
