I'm from the Caribbean,of African descent, but this is one thing my mother never did. She believed that, "Empty bag cyan stan' up!" So, food was always her biggest expense. Food, and good food, always came first. The cupboards were full. The fridge was full. And we ate whatever and how much we wanted. We were always slim and never ill until this day.
