Rejuvenating My NATURAL HAIR After NEGLECTING it for 4 MONTHS‼️😱 | WASHDAY + HOT Aloe Vera Treatment

Details on the NHG Challenge:
The Natural Hair Grow Challenge that I, Natural Academia, started doing in the summer of 2020. This challenge allowed me to take some time to let my hair just be. In my opinion, Natural Hair grows a lot faster when it is left alone. In addition to that, this challenge has also forced me to love my hair in its natural state, I no longer feel the need to make everything look “perfect” or worry about how I’m going to do my hair when I do my NHG challenges.

    Long term protective styles are always beneficial if we do things right, it's important not to neglect our hair during this period cos it can also damage our hair. BTW your hair still looks healthy🤗

    Listen, I genuinley understand that life gets hard. How often do you shower? Would you go 4 months without cleaning your body? If you don't treat your body like that, there is absolutely no reason to treat your scalp and hair that way. Perhaps viewing it this way will help you start washing it more often

  • @sxvannah7525

    Im sorry but that’s even more disgusting not showering but washing your hair …

  • @liltawna12345

    @liltawna12345

    Жыл бұрын

    @@sxvannah7525 honestly going 4 months without washing your hair is just as “unhygienic” as not showering for while. I mean no judgement, it’s just the truth. As a woman, how crazy does it sound to go a week -2 weeks without showering and just putting fresh lotion on dirty skin to “re-moisturize” ? Like torture. Then just before finally hopping in the shower, slathering on a final layer of coconut oil for “extra hydration”. Apply the same logic to your scalp and hair. Washing your hair every 4 months (3x a year*) isn’t enough. Unfortunately because of how far apart those washes there’s just no good enough reason to neglect yourself like that. It hits the ear the same as not showering for a couple weeks

    As long as you have blended your aloe vera it has lost most of it's nutrients not to talk of warming it it up. Girlll nothing is left... just saying it as it is. Stop blending aloe vera.

  • @curlynaijachic4116

    @curlynaijachic4116

    Жыл бұрын

    @@nanaafiayeboah3905 firstly have you seen any Aloe Vera manufacturing company blend up Aloe gel before? Secondly when using the blender to blend you have automatically exposed it to oxidation (you will observe those tiny bubbles that looks foamy) by this process all the active components and nutrients, antioxidants, anti inflammatory properties which makes Aloe Vera a healing plant are degraded. Look, I'm not a science student but these is what I understand about blending aloe vera. My ish with natural hair community is that everyone just wanna copy the latest without doing research. Why do you thing there are slow blender? Don't yo know that there are fruits you blend and they loose their nutrients? When I use Aloe Vera for my hair or face I simply scrape the surface to give that gel I need. You guys shouldn't blend.

  • @myacct8304

    @myacct8304

    Жыл бұрын

    @@curlynaijachic4116 would you mind citing a source of research that says that blending aloe vera is bad? I’m just a little confused, because if oxidation is the issue, it should affect aloe vera regardless of whether or not it’s blended. Besides, blending fruits, veggies, and other plants doesn’t remove their nutrients, so why would it do that to aloe vera?
