Reinventing The Sacred Science, Reason, & Religion, Dr. Stuart Kauffman, Biocomplexity

Ғылым және технология

The science of complexity moves beyond reductionism to something new: a unified culture where we see God in the creativity of the universe, biosphere, and humanity - changing the way we all think about the evolution of humanity, the universe, faith, and reason.
I would like to begin a discussion about the first glimmerings of a new scientific world view - beyond reductionism to emergence and radical creativity in the biosphere and human world. This emerging view finds a natural scientific place for value and ethics, and places us as co-creators of the enormous web of emerging complexity that is the evolving biosphere and human economics and culture. In this scientific world view, we can ask: Is it more astonishing that a God created all that exists in six days, or that the natural processes of the creative universe have yielded galaxies, chemistry, life, agency, meaning, value, consciousness, culture without a Creator. In my mind and heart, the overwhelming answer is that the truth as best we know it, that all arose with no Creator agent, all on its wondrous own, is so awesome and stunning that it is God enough for me and I hope much of humankind.

Not many people have it, or have something meaningful to offer humanity. Not many people know what they're talking about. Stuart Kaufmann knows what he's talking about. He has so much to offer humanity. 💪💪

The notion of Dr. Kaufmann's 'emergent faith' is something I'm determined to understand.

An Aramaic-speaking Rabbi explained to us once that the phrase "I Am That I Am" (spoken by G-d) that is so proudly enunciated at a certain Christian church in a certain city so frequently is a mis-translation; she said an accurate translation of the Aramaic phrase would be either a) "I will Be what I will Be" or b) "I am Becoming What I Am Becoming". Thank you for this video.

"We don't know what CAN happen" In other words, we also don't know what can go wrong under the strong probability that it will go wrong and half the problem is because we don't know how right things could be as we haven't wedged ourselves in to a solid starting position to build on a foundation of a "Morally Responsible Free Will" because the organization/structure of that would be so mysterious and simple that it would require a ceaselessly creative philosophical being to create/discover that which we would be able to put on a pedestal comparable to God.

Naturally emergent order versus artificially imposed order seems important here.

It's not their way of life, being changed, that terrifies them, it's changing who they hate, that, well, iS THAT POSSIBLE Is the question. Radio active nuclei decline, but do these?

Noach. Unfortunately the fact we can create, chemical, or science, technology, to defeat cancer,... It won't work. Whilsoever people hate, viciously, habitually, other homo-sapiens 2.0,.. ..., if it's not cancer, something else will arise.
