OL traveled to Reims this Sunday for the first day of D1 Arkema. Sonia Bompastor's players brilliantly won 5 goals to 1.
Almost perfect start to the game for OL with Daniëlle van de Donk's opener in the 17th minute . On a corner from Selma Bacha who finds the head of Damaris, the latter deflects the ball on our Dutch number 17 (0-1). Lyon pushes to make the break. It was not until the 39th minute , just before the break, to see Damaris score this second goal with a powerful header thanks to a corner well taken by Sara Däbritz (0-2). Our Fenottes lead logically after this first period.
Back on the field, OL continued their offensives with the entries of Melvine Malard and Eugénie Le Sommer but some counter-attacks benefited Reims. They reduced the score just after the hour mark thanks to a shot from Melchie Dumornay (63', 1-2). Less than ten minutes later, our Fenottes reacted and Sara Däbritz unlocked her goal counter with OL in the league with a header from a cross by Inès Jaurena (72', 1-3). OL did not stop there, like the offensives carried out in the opposing half. Daniëlle van de Donk scores twice before the end of regulation time. Eugénie Le Sommer is behind the action since it is she who strikes towards the goal but van de Donk is on the trajectory and deflects the ball into the net (85 ', 1-4).
After dominating during the first period, Lyon got scared with this reduction in the score but our Fenottes did not give up to widen the gap. A first success this season, augurs well before the reception of ASJ Soyaux on Sunday September 18 at GOLTC at 12:45 p.m.
