    Hi Doc, I had a bucket handle meniscus tear. No issues really during the 6 weeks on crutches. What do you recommend a timeline of exercises 1-2 weeks 2-4 and 4-6 weeks?

    Hi doctor. I had miniscus repair surgery almost 5 weeks ago. I still have some pain on it , especially when I do certain exercises or when I wake up in the mornings , feels stiffed . I can walk slowly and I’m fine, and heating pack does make it feel better. Is this normal in the heeling process ? I’m worried that I reinjured the miniscus . Thank you .

    Hi I am 4 weeks post surgery. He cut away a small piece of the medial maniscus. I was doing good unfortunately yesterday I began to have pain in the medial maniscus area.I think I was possibly just doing to much walking. I am going to take a couple days of rest. Do you think I possibly re injured my knee? Thanks

    I have problems in the inner lateral part of my knee I feel discomfort technically it is not pain although after my work it has sometimes hurt me it has been 3 weeks since I started feeling discomfort I have always liked the Bulgarian split squat perhaps it is the exercise that the most I like to do it for three weeks I have not practiced it for fear of injuring myself more I am a cook in a restaurant my question is the following, can I continue doing the Bulgarian split squat or should I forget about it forever?

    If the split squat feels good, just do it! But to answer what's going on in the knee, I need more information. You could consider booking an online appointment at our website yourphysio.online/book

    Had my surgery almost 5 weeks ago. If I watch TV all day, I’m okay. If I walk, shop, do a few house chores, I’m miserable. I was told to use the crutches for a few days, as needed. I called my doc’s office. The PA said to give it 8 weeks total. I’m hurting so much. Frustrated!

    Too bad to hear Vicky, maybe you're doing too much. Try to spread you chores more during the day and get your feet up in the air more often, don't move towards your end range of motion of the knee and take it easy during the day. If you feel like you're not getting there, get in touch with Arjan on our website, he knows how to deal with meniscus repairs!!

    Hi Sylvester, that's hard to say. If you haven't been doing a lot in the last 4 months or if you don't have enough balance/proprioception, these exercises could be too hard. So I'm sorry but I can't answer these questions with this information. You could consider getting in touch with us through our website yourphysio.online, so we can have an online appointment. I can ask the right questions, see your knee and can give you a personalized rehab plan. Good luck!

    Hello Dr. Thank you for the video. I had my surgery 5 months ago. I am still bothered with pain in the sport of the stitching... for instance when use stairs going up or down. One more thing. I still feel the thread inside my knee, when i asked the doc he told me that i was obliged to use a type of thread that doesn't melt, and he said he would remove it in the future. I was told also to start running now but i am still not that confident because my whole leg is still weak. Would you please explain to me this

    Doc..can I squat or do lunges within 5 week after my meniscus repair surgery??

  • @yourphysioonline

    @yourphysioonline

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Mohd, depends. If they repared your meniscus, like stitched it back together, chances are high that you shouldn't be doing squats. If they just removed a piece of your meniscus, you could probably do some squats. But to give you clear advice it's best to book an online appointment at our website at yourphysio.online. We can probably help you a lot with a single session by just answering your questions and giving you the best tools

    that's tough to hear. To be honest, there can be multiple reasons why you are feeling uncomfortable. It can just be the fact that you're standing for too long on your feet in one position but there can also be still a reactive knee. So if we want to answer that question we need to book an online consultation. You can do that at yourphysio.online. We can probably answer this question in a single session

    Hi Asad, thanks for reaching out to us. It really depends on when they stitched it. I would recommend you should take at least 6 months before you try to start wrestling. And after six months it also depends on how the knee looks, how stable, strong and mobile it is. But to answer your question on what to do, I can't answer that. If you want me to answer that question, you could book an online consultation at yourphysio.online

    Hey☺️ i had a meniscus repair and chondrocyte implantation two weeks ago.today i went back to the hospital for suture removal and they allowed me to bend my knee upto 30 degrees for the first week.i feel a lot of pain trying to bend and feel like my knee isnt allowinge to bend😂.is it normal or?☺️

  • @yourphysioonline

    @yourphysioonline

    Жыл бұрын

    If you weren't allowed to bend the knee prior to that visit, there is a chance that it will be uncomfortable if you start bending it after two weeks. Make sure you take it day by day, don't try to bend your knee fully within a week. If you need some extra help, go to yourphysio.online/book
