With the side mount storage you almost don't need the Decked system. Having an awning on the rack would be almost a necessity, 270° batwing style. RTT on a trailer would be more useful but then you would be towing a trailer.

Hi Chris, great build! I'm considering the Decked System for my F150. But, I do prefer to run a canopy shell on my rig for wet climates in OR and WA. Would I still be able to fit a large Yeti cooler (say 210 or 250) on top of the Decked System and still fit under my shell?

I often have to pull my gooseneck. Would any of this stuff be compatible with a gooseneck trailer? I don’t use them simultaneously, use one or the other.

How many and what size coolers are you still able to use with this setup? Thinking about the out of state hunter?

Great question. We had to drag a small trailer to Colorado for 3rd Rifle Elk season.

Would love to see how that bow holder is mounted, seems like a good idea.

IDK...I'd get some thin 3/8" wide weatherstripping to put on those cargo pod lids to keep the dust and moisture out. Doesn't look that weatherproof.

What size bed do you have 6’ 6” or the 5’ 9

What about rain, snow, and dust entering the bed area where a guy might have suitcases, tree stands, or items that one doesn’t want wet. Or the roll outs, will rain, snow, or dust get into those drawers where weapons are stored?

Decked drawers are weatherproof, not the Leitner PODs.

I always wondered why people buy trucks then spend all this time and money trying to weatherproof the back when you can just buy and SUV that is already completely covered.

I finally upgraded from my Dakota as well!!! The Dakotas are some badass little trucks but their just too old now

Nice!! I was looking at those wheels thinking the same thing. I got 285/70r17 Goodyear duratracs on mine their about 33”

How much does all that weigh? Id be worried about the impact on payload.

average payload on a halfton is about #1600. I wouldnt worry.

What happens when you shoot a 400” bull elk?

What is the total cost for this set-up? I'm guessing $5K minimum. Most likely much more.
