I was 15 years old when this aired. My mom watched live with regis and Kathy lee damn near everyday..as far back as I remember my mom would watch this when I would be sick and stay home from school...she liked Kathy lee.

That is why I am watching this. I would have been 15 and my Mum always watched Live, it was always on growing up in my house, and it reminds me of either staying home sick, or summer vacation.

I was 16 the year this episode aired. Loved watching this show when I was able. So much better when Regis and Kathie Lee were on it. And they mentioned Friends being a new show!! how time flies.👵🏻👵🏻

This show was so much better when Regis and Kathie Lee were the hosts.

They’re talking about that hot new series Friends lol. It’s always fun watching these shows 30 years in the future.

I remember live with Regis and Kathie Lee that was my favorite morning show

I haven’t watched this show since Regis left. Back in the day, though… 9 AM every weekday morning on KCTV five, Proceeding “The Price Is Right. Whether it was during the first few years of my life in the early 90s when mom stayed home with me, I was sick and staying home from school, on any designated school break and such, watching “live with Regis and Kathie Lee/Kelly“ was a morning ritual. Always felt like him and his cohosts were right there in my living room, and one of my favorite things in his later time on the show was watching him try to handle the latest technology; he absolutely sucked at it, and that’s what made it funny. Wonder if anyone has any early 90s episodes with commercials as aired on KCTV five?

Used to come on at 7am in Houston when I was walking out the door to get to work for 8am. Wow I was 28 when this aired.

_Live with Regis and Kathie Lee_ aired on tape-delay at 11 a.m. in those days. _Mike and Maty,_ which was the ABC show at 11 a.m. ET back then, was itself tape-delayed until overnights.

Meanwhile, WEWS's competition down south, WAKC in Akron, did air Mike and Maty at its regular 11AM time slot. Same with The Home Show and Caryl & Marilyn: Real Friends. Even after WAKC lost its ABC affiliation in 1997, WEWS continued preempting Caryl & Marilyn and later The View to 2AM until the cancellation of The Morning Exchange/Today's Morning Exchange in 1999. At one point, if I'm not mistaken, Today's Morning Exchange in its final season aired for only an hour at 9AM, followed by Regis and Kathie Lee at 10AM and Hollywood Squares (early days of Tom Bergeron's version) at 11AM. Bergeron's incarnation of the latter had not been seen on Cleveland TV since the first season despite having continued in other markets (including WKBN in Youngstown) until its cancellation in 2004.

@@chenowethrules9539 Seems odd that _Hollywood Squares (1998)_ wasn't picked up by CBS 19 in its later years. Even weirder that the show aired in late mornings in Cleveland when it premiered. That show was more or less designed with early evening (pre-fringe) or primetime syndication in mind.

This is marvelous! Especially so with keeping the commercials in place . . . as it gives it a _time capsule_ feel to it. The video quality, for being 25 years ago, is excellent! As video tape can visually degrade over the years with multiple playbacks. And you've done _one-better_ than what I've ever done with my similar uploads: Describing the list of advertisers in this hour; as there are several listed that are no longer around. I just don't have the patience in me to write the lists of advertisers with my uploads; but, I'm also kept occupied with hundreds more videos I need to review and place in the pipeline for posting.

Is that Al Franken doing the voiceover for the Heinen's ad?
