True! I listened to both Patti employs to much headtone while regine uses a more chesty approach. Chest voice always trumps any other technique, in terms of difficulty and quality.

Didn't she use headstone there? Regine did this with full chest. If regine did this Headvoics she can go even higher than her. For a woman who possess Full lyric Soprano it is guaranteed she can go much higher than ever.

Sandy Patty of the Philippines..but sandy is far far greater when it comes to pitch, quality and style. Regine is also great though. Regine"s fans who have not seen and heard Sandy patty yet check her on you tube to find it out.

Sandy and Regine have different style and approaches. As mentioned by the others in this thread and this is not just because we are fans, but Regine took the top notes in Chest Voice, now that's a feat. Whereas Sandy's approach is that of a trained operatice Lyric Soprano's, Regine's soprano placement makes it extras special because it is done in Pop Chest voice comparable to appraoches of Chaka Khan and Patti laBelle. So if for your Sandy's is better , for us Regine's is. Also, Regine's snese of pitch is uncanny as this is pop in approach. If you sing as a trained soprano, remember, it should be como scritto, meaning by the scale as written. I do hope Regine also tackles Sandy's We Shall Behold Him and upon this rock. And yes dear Sel Rob, i am also a Sandy fan. Do you know Regine and Reyan Fuentes sang Sandy and Larnelle Harris' duet More than Wonderful in 1993? Regine took it in Chest too!!!

sel rob both are originials, and both praise God genuinely in their own ways. Now Sandy is great indeed and so are thel ikes of Joan Sutherland, Callas, Sills, Leontyne, norman, Hendricks, Hallstein, Mesple, Pons, Battle, or even Vickie winans, Dottie Peoples, Tramaine hawkins, or even Mahalia, Ella, Lena, Dinah , Sarah, or even Streisand, Aretha, Labelle, Chaka Khan , Minnie Riperton, Betty Wright, Deniece Williams etc etc. In the Philippines there is Regine Velasquez so you can put her second or last on your list or even never but for me and her most loyal fans and to those of us with also solid music inclinations Regine is great in her own way. As maybe God can humble you in your own way too. :) By the way have your theard of Deniece Williams and Sandy's They say, betcha its hard to determine who sings which now doesnt it? Great goodness. Well then no more arguments for me, its 2014 and my opinions and beliefs remain, so i stand by what i say. God bless you dear. Move. Happy new year.
