Regine has inspired so many people of different generations. Troy spoke his words of gratitude to Regine which are the same words that hundreds of thousands of fans she's inspired want to tell her. As a batang 80's/90's myself, Regine's career has served as my life's landmark. Each of her songs are part of my life story. Her songs bring back so much memories from riding a jeepney going to my high school, to stalking my crushes, to my heartaches, to my summer vacations, to my Christmases, to my college years, to my leaving the Philippines and moving to the US. All of those experiences, there's always a Regine song attached to it. That's why she will always be a part of my life, and I thank God for giving us Regine. She is a blessing to millions of people. That is why she is the QUEEN of OPM. Not just because of her magnificent voice, but because she has become a part of a lot of people's lives ALL THESE YEARS.

And of course the inspiration to all new and veteran artists who all look up to her. There was a time that na naghingalo na ang movie at concert/ music industry. Isang Regine Velasquez lang naman ang tumulong to keep these industries alive dahil sa kanyang popularidad at talento. She remains humble and unselfish inspite of all the success at sa dami ng kanyang sinuportahan

I totally related to what Troy Laurente said about his experience having a hard time and just listen to Regine's songs to cope with sadness. I remember for years not seeing my family and living in the US - and during holidays, I'd play Regine's "Love Was Born On Christmas Day" album over and over again, and then cry and cry - remembering those times that life in the Philippines was so laid back, and now my life in the US - though blessed with a loving and caring husband - was tough for the most part. But Regine's songs helped me through those tough times. This video made me cry missing my mom who passed away last year. I'm coming to visit the Philippines this month to have a celebration of her life. Thanks for the gift of your music, Ms. Regine Velasquez!
