I have no problem with this decision. Kickboxing is about hunting for that KO. Regian found a good match.
What is this no clinching crap. Kickboxing usually has clinching allowed when you activally attack.

I believe its since the days of Buakaw who completely abused the clinch-knee technique to mop up an entire k1 roster, they had to tweak the rules.

Though I don’t necessarily agree with the decision. This was an insanely high level and enjoyable fight to watch. I hope there’s an immediate rematch

@@user-bs3kd1hl5e french guy was gassed out and kept moving backwards and only scored a knockdown and that's it he used his chin as his defence but overall Eersel dominated majority of fight but I understand that knockdown scored it all but Nicolas doesn't deserve the title he's coward for always moving backwards

This ref is way too involved. “No clinching”? What nonsense. Get that rule out of here. Clinching is part of both kickboxing and muy Thai. It should only be broken up when it’s used defensively to waste time, not when used offensively.

That looked super close - definitely rematch territory. I always felt a champ needed to definitely lose to lose the belt and it wasn't that... 🤷♂️

Is it just me or do these guys look smaller than they actually are? Eersel is 6'2' and Nicolas is 6'0' but they look no more than 5'8' - 5'10' in the video
