He looked very slow and predictable. At one point rico even seen the counter before osaro even threw it. Might be his only title shot and he did nothing! Disappointed

Rico you are the best!

I've been looking at this fight again... There is nothing to blame to Rico. Cookie just didn't came to do what he should've done. With every fight comes a certain risk. However, judging from the side line is always the easiest things to do, but the interim champ should have had the awareness that this chance of performing on this podium may not come again very soon. Credits to Verhoeven, he deserves the respect, certainly after the recovery of a heavy knee injury. Not every single fight is as spectacular as we want, but being the champ for a decade shows some true sportsmanship of an athlete. OSU!!👊

Watching fights like this makes me really miss the great K1 era. Aerts, le Banner, Abidi, Hoost, Ignashov, Sefo, Feitosa , mighty Mo and all other great fighters. This is nowhere near that.

This fight is disrespectful to all fans who gave their hard-earned money to watch this fight. Cookie seemed like he didn't want to be there, the first three rounds were absolutely horrible.

Not sure how "Incredible" that is. I dont watch Glory that much, but didnt this Osaro start training kickboxing recently? Like few yrs ago? What does that say about the competition Rico is facing? Kickboxing is dead sport, golde era is long behind us

@@Baltuz9 you exaggerated the analogy too much, Rico has done MMA before and is already training Boxing specifically👊 He can fight both Fury and Ngannu, and I think he'll beat them both.

One of the main successes of Rico's fights is the little knee strikes he places as soon as he holds on to his opponent. And he gives another one when the referee separates them. His opponents no longer have any legs at all in the 4th and 5th rounds.

@@Mauvaiseodeur Rico is ver stiff. Im a Croat and talented in many sports. Cro Cop, Fedor etc. movement was like fluid. But Rico is stiff, strong. Compare Ernesto Hoost fluidness to Ricos stiffness. But u cant see it, if ur not talented. I can feel movements and learn fast. When he moves he.looks like me after 2 weeks. Im not braging. He has other qualities like dursbility, chin, big legs. Its weird. He doesnt look impressive like Cro Cop, but still wins the title. A prime 2003 Cro Cop wud destroy him come on..

Yeah that would be nice! I was just thought the (almost) same, UFC. But yours is better for sure! Many fights in UFC (NOT ALL!!) are kinda like this fight but One Championship is 99% from start till end full contact. More spirit and the will to win!

So weird to not see Ricco landing his devastating lowkick ! Those made him so special , It looks like an other Ricco , but due to the surgerie i guess. We also can see here he's rusty beacuse the Ricco 2 years before would've KO Cookie badly ...Cookie in the match almost looks like a dead fish! Hope to see Ricco in better shape against stronger oppenants because it's always a pleasure so see him fight !

Помню времена К1: Боньяски, Манхуф, Словински, Сэфо, Хаг, Аертс, Шилт, Крокоп, Леша Игнашев, Саки, ЛеБаннер, Чой, Сапп (тогда ещё вызов Тайсону бросал), Хуст, Фейтоса, Геркес, ударник-румын Моросану, Самедов, Абиди, Зиммерман, Лащенко... Уверен, многие помнят времена Оверима в К1. Вот были бойцы!!! Кто не смотрел , гляньте бой Словински - Яхия, это было нечто. А сейчас какие-то однотипные бойцы, однотипные бои... ничего интересного... Но Верхувен трудоголик, благодаря чему и добился результата. Молодец!

Osara didnt know what to do, his skill level is too low to show Rico any adversary. hes just a tall big strong boy who cant kickbox. Sad to see our favourite sport pass

Since Rico has been training with Tyson Fury(boxing), also Tom Aspinall(mma) you can see since all of them have been Training a lot and the that the Proof is in the showing of All three Athletes!!! Kings of their respective Sport. JMO

That wasn't a domination. A person doesn't dominate a punching bag. There was literally no fight in Osaro. Reminds me of the Francis and Derrick Lewis fight in the UFC. Clash of heavyweights, neither really doing anything spectacular.

I’ve only done amateur kickboxing and after the tournament my hands and legs hurt so bad 😂 I was so worried about hurting my face or ribs I forgot about everything else

@@geraldtraveller9804 How have they tested Plazibat but not Rico lol? Rico has pretty much fought everyone there is for him to fight. Also, Rico is much more expensive so when he does fight it needs to be a bit bigger event usually and those are harder to do as often for Glory.

This is not a boring fight😂 Both of these guys have the power to end the fight in one strike, also verhooven was smart by neutralizing him in the boxing range in clinch.

Osaro is kinda of a guy that says the idea of a 5 round championship match tire himself out, and then follow through with it.

As a Moroccan i support Rico like if he is a Moroccan , i have big respects to this man and i am sure that all Moroccans do

Osaro was very demotivated after the 2nd half and lacked precise combinations. If he thinks he will become champion, he will have to KO Rico because he is favored by the Glory promotion, the last time he lost was in China to an unknown person, since then they have not let him fight anywhere else.

maybe osaro thought that it was going to be easy, but hes relative new in the scene so he has a lot to learn maybe hes gonna be the next holder who knows

That first judge apparently really loves Osaro. Had the fight close going into the 5th round the rest of the judges all had Rico winning comfortably.

Love kickboxing, been following Glory since it started. I can't say there have been many 'bad' fights, but this is up there with the worst of them. Osaro didn't belong in there with Rico on the night and he lacked discipline because he couldnt do anything to Rico, so his temper was flaring. I'm not hating, but this was not Osaro's best and we were all expecting him to come out increasingly more technical and heavy handed from round 2 onwards and give Rico a real challenge for the title. Joe Valteleni's tone of voice was saying it all. I'm glad Rico won after being out for so long. 👍🏻
