In Japan, even today, it is a standard that authors submit hand-printed documents (genko youshi) to publishers, and in public amd private education, students must write by hand. Calligraphy using brushes dipped in sumi ink is taught from grade one as a standard...Resumes are still submitted in handwritten format, and your character is assessed by the quality of your writing, so in fact, the valuation of writing longhand is one of the biggest rewards of education here...

Love when songwriters place images of their messy handwritten lyrics on the inside of their physical releases. Have been writing with a pen for 15 years and you're making me think of aspects of it I didn't consider before. I tried changing to a computer but it just felt wrong. Everyone should draw a bendy line in the sand when it comes to modern technology.

My handwriting has become so terrible. I seriously need to practice it. I somehow miss words all the time too. I think I try to write too quickly. Time to slow down and let the words flow?

@@tonberrykinged I miss words too, but there's always another line spare! I try to start slow and be precise, but I always ends up getting faster and it always ends up getting messier. It's interesting to observe how it reflects my daily life. There is something good about messy handwriting, and the fastness suggests and excitement to express, which is actually very healthy. If something is understandable, you're communicating.
