I love that you put a chair in your school space so you have a “place to be” while your kids are working. What do you do while they work? Are you just there and available if they need you? I just ask because unlike you, I have younger kids, but I have the tendency to walk away while they work to get other things done, when I should probably just be present and available. If you still do it for your older kids who are more independent, I’m encouraged and inspired to do the same.

Yes I am always present. I still do teaching just not as much as when they were younger. I find it very distracting and not the best message to be buzzing around the house while they work

Wow. This really reflects the new, more mature, season you are in. It really looks very inviting. I was just invested in the moment, admieing how beautiful you styled those hanging shelves and had to smile whrn yoy went in full-on mom mode for a moment there. So real and relatable. If you only knew what was taking place behind the camera. I could have edited it out but forgot honestly.

So my dad is a general contractor and just taught me this last week when we were hanging curtains. That hardware that came with the shelving is actually great! I was doing the same thing, making huge holes and the anchors wouldn’t stay. So my dad came over and showed me how to use them, make a tiny hole first. Like just push in the wall a bit with the screwdriver then on that spot you use the Screwdriver and screw the anchor into the wall. Unlike the other anchors where you make a hole first and then place the anchor into the wall. These you just screw them into the wall. They are super heavy duty! 🙂

Looks great. I don’t know if you meant to do this but the anchors usually go the other direction on shelves like that. The picture even shows it that way. The anchors is what helps with the weight distribution of the shelf also. Aesthetically they still look fine but just wanted to share in case you didn’t know. Another year down!🎉

This way they act as book ends which is great since homeschoolers don’t have too many books, ever 😂

We alwaysssss use different anchors because the ones sent with shelving kits have been notoriously terrible for us! My husband is an anchor lover. 😁

I love seeing how the room has changed over the years! It looks really great 😊

Prayers for clarity!! I’ve been on the fence with HS for our youngest for a while now( since kindergarten) I have curriculum ready to go.. but I alway stop myself as of right now I’m working, but then I’m like okay then I need to sell my curriculum but when I go to do it I hesitate.

They did what they could but we didn’t actually fix it all because our house would have to have been torn apart.
