Father Mike is charismatic and Aly is deeply magnetic, and they bring those powers to the altar of the Lord to draw people to His Heart. Beautiful.

Fr. Mike and Aly - The Holy Spirit has a way of bringing me to EXACTLY the message I need to hear, and in the early hours of this Holy Saturday morning when I couldn’t sleep, he led me to your Good Friday sermon Fr. Mike and this conversation. I spent Good Friday pretty much in absolute discouragement, a feeling that has been overwhelming me as of late. It’s such a dark and lonely place and I have been praying and pleading with God for a path out of this space, and it came through both of you just now. I finally recognize that my discouragement is a result of being “blind-sided,” as Peter was in the courtyard. I never expect the attacks to come in the form of discouragement, but they usually do. It’s in situations where, despite doing the right thing, the loving action, the surrendering, somehow it all gets twisted and misaligned and I am left utterly heart-broken and confounded by how what was intended for good turns into such a mess. I see it as a pattern, over and over again, throughout my life, where things that are done in such love and simplicity with so much goodwill somehow turn out so utterly wrong. And this is when the discouragement takes hold, where I feel forsaken and abandoned. But you both have shown me that this is the place where I need to invite God into, so that “over my failures, your love is an eclipse.” Thank you for this much needed light upon my path.

Fr. Mike, Thank You for your Sunday Mass and your short clips of inspiration! You bless my wife and I and we share the blessings you share with us with others in our lives that needs holly guidance. Mike thank you for introducing me to Ali. I have been so blessed by her voice and have purchased everything on Apple Music that I could find. Ali, I love just you solo music you do during Fr. Mikes Mass’s so if you would pray about recording those tracks as Mass Worship It would be just something to listen to during home worship during private time with God. Good luck on your ministry. For my college years I was music director at my local Newman Center in Kearney, Nebraska. I was a student at UNK and had the time of my life at the Newman Center. Such an incredible, laid back church experience. I wish my priest, however, was as lovely and as powerful of speaker, as Fr. Mike.

I think I'm a little of both! I definitely enjoy not rushing through things and embracing the adventure of the journey, but if I have a goal in mind I can become absorbed in accomplishing it well and can be a bit of a perfectionist. But it's fun to be in the midst of it, so I think I'm a journey person after all! 🤔What's an example of how your journey personality plays out, Palmina?

For sure. The enemy attacks hardest where good things are happening! If we think about it that way, we should feel encouraged that we feel discouraged! Haha and God always wins 😊
