    Interesting! On my BMW G650x country, similar to Enfield in that single cylinder that can plod really well with a fuel mod that gives you low rev drivability. Standard gearing is 16/47. I tried 15/47 coz first gear a bit high off road . Only did one run up the hills and kept looking for another gear. Next was try 16/49 , result! Although not a big change it’s bang on. 20 limit is 3rd gear , 30 is 4th gear and top gear from 37 mph. Don’t ever look at Speedo coz you know in 3 at nice low revs you are 19-21 mph, happy spot. Before having fuel mod on previous F650gs you couldn’t drop below 50 in fifth gear without chugging and needed 3 rd gear for 30mph, was almost unusable. RE Classic seems yo have nice low down drivability. Makes lammermuirs a joy to ride in! Keep em coming Bruce!

    Thanks Mike, think i have spent enough on this 350 now and as VB mentioned the bore kit will work out costing at least 1K Again hopefully someone else does it first and posts there findings on here 😁👍 Cheers Bruce

    When I had the 16T on a stock bike, You didn't want to be changing up to 5th until the bike was rolling along at 50+mph. Now all the mods are done I might well try the 16T again as it only takes a few mins to change it.

    I will go up the winding country roads soon and see how it pulls through gears riding it as a 4 speed, I hammered it through the gears on this film just for folk to see the speed through the gears, but really just want it to be nice on the usual country roads i am usually on 👍😁 Cheers Bruce

    I have the 16t on a completely stock Classic 350. I think it’s brilliant. Beforehand I couldn’t get through an intersection without shifting to second. Curious to see if it’s even better with the cam. I do notice, in case anyone is wondering, that if you try to short-shift at all there is a distinct lack of power. For me anyway you have to run it higher in the rev range to maintain torque and speed when shifting through the gears.

    Hi, my Insurance through Bennett’s is ok about as no change to CC or serious chassis/brakes, but you best check with your insurance company 👍😁 Cheers Bruce

    Hi, is it the pillion replacement rear rack? Or the pannier reR racks you are after? I have not seen a saree guard here in the UK for sale for the Classic 350 Reborn, just for older Bullet 500’s and i think they come from India via eBay shops

    @@Coastriderscotland Yes the same saree guard as on the old bullet 500s it is here on my classic reborn from the factory i wish to replace it with the export variant the one you have could you please let me know it's part number. Or how can i get it for myself to get the desired bobber look.

    Hi Bruce, if the step between 15 and 16 teeth proves to be too big there is the option of swapping out the rear sprocket, it seems 3 sizes are available: 44, 42, and 40, which lets you play around with smaller gearing steps than the change from 15 to 16 on the front gear. Do you have a long hill where you can run timed distance tests with the different sprockets, loads, gear selections, and speeds? It takes time but avoids using a dyno to collect real data on the performance.

    @@Coastriderscotland When I calculate the final drive ratios, the 15/42 combination is 2.800:1 , 16/44 is 2.750:1, 15/40 is 2.667:1, and 16/42 is 2.625. I think the step from 2.800:1 to 2.625:1 is too big, but I don't have a bike to test this out. Would you be interested in trying the 15/40 and 16/44 combinations if a 40-tooth and 44-tooth sprocket were to arrive at your place? That's assuming you currently have the 42-tooth sprocket on your bike.

    I rode the bike 2or3000 miles on the 16t and found bike was better on stock gearing, i think it was struggling to pull into wind and hills in 5th, while 4th being ok was a bit buzzy, Cheers Bruce

    @Coastriderscotland yeah it's so easy to change from one to the other. I played around with mine. You have said before these bikes like to rev and I agree. I have de-cat DNA air filter fuel 'Xlite and Cam. I found on a long hill with a slight head wind, I had to go down a gear to keep the speed up, nothing serious but definitely ran out of puff a bit. So went back to standard sprocket to help keep those revs up.
