Having trouble finding stuff in your chest monster? Find items by hovering over it and hitting 'Y' to highlight which chest it's in until you have your RS/AE/RFTools storage solution up and running. If you guys can't make the infinity booster there is an Advanced Wireless Transmitter you can use for 1k range (or 4k range with upgrades). If you have backpacks full of items instead of doing it all by hand, shift+click the backpack onto the ground and item pipe it out with an Import Bus for your storage system. To prevent you from having to smelt tons of materials you need, make an auto smelt pickaxe from Silent Gear using Crimson Steel tip upgrade. If you have a backlog of raw materials in storage you want to quickly smelt I found that piping them into a depot surrounded by encased fans (up to 5--NSWE+Down) and then using a blacklist filter for each raw material automates processing a stack in roughly 10 seconds. This is *fast* compared to IronFurnace furnaces up until say Emerald. Later a fully upgraded Smelting Factory from Mekanism would be the absolute fastest, but also a power hog.

The Unobtanium furnace with factory and speed upgrades (you need stupid power) insta-smelts stacks of items per second, I think it’s close to 5-8k items per second. Use a creative importer/exporter, with a 2M power buffer for your furnace and you can smelt 200k items at ludicrous speeds.

@@JaceSwalworth Aye, that's super late game requirements though. Until then I usually just either take the Mekanism route or automate Create's basin to duplicate raw ores on day one. After I get about a week in I setup an auto factory or go ham with Create steam tank and like 30 mixers, 80 fans, and whatnot.

i found your stuff last week and found it super helpful even built your mob farm from last ep( then it bugged out and i had to adjust it so it ) keep up the great work man you are criminally underrated

If you hadn't noticed, there is an addon here that adds an upgraded wireless transmitter which has 1000 range by default instead of 16 and upgrades with the base range extenders to 4000 range. Just pull the current transmitter into your inventory and get JEI usages of it... It is really cheap too(probably too cheap in this mod). And now your wireless crafter works everywhere in the overworld.

ik this is late but I do appreciate seeing the crafting recipes. I don't always have the game open and it is good to get an idea of what I need to get started with something (Say for instance, the Potion Master charms, I had no clue they existed but knew I couldn't make them because goddamn ender pearls)

If Body messes with your pipe wrench again, you can just use the Create wrench on the pipes. To answer your question about crafting, I like to know in advance while watching people's videos if there's something in the recipe that's rare or complicated to get. Otherwise, I can just go in JEI and click around.

I finally made and started using one of these quarries. It’s great and produces a lot of resources at a ridiculous rate. But boy is it a lag machine. I tend to leave the game running for days at a time. And the quarry will eventually crash it. Confirmed this using Observable. Still have one running but shut it down every now and then.

Wrong transmitter!! Advance wireless transmitter is 1000 blocks with 4 upgrade slots allowing up to 3000 blocks instead of 16-48 blocks for regular wireless transmitter! Discovered this through Sjin's playthrough

I don’t know if it’s this pack but if you want the wandering traders to go away, you can look at getting a no soliciting sign. Also wondering if you can make the GUI one size bigger for us mobile users and those with bad eye site? I fall under both and I kinda struggle to see what’s going on with the inventory screens so small.

You can find the explanation in the storage section of the questbook! Long story short, NBT items carry a lot of extra "data" on them, unlike regular items. In storage systems (AE2 or RS), since all of it is technically stored on a disk, and you can have 8 disks in a drive in one block.... you can see how you can store thousands of NBT items in one little spot. This will cause massive lag in any system, so it's just best not to store it in there. You can, just keep in mind how much you are storing!

I know this is 6 months late but I believe in the episode Body was added, he mentioned he had made him invincible, probably with commands.

can someone explain what an nbt item is and why you may not want to store it in refined storage?

It is a long conversation, but essentially NBT items are just items with extra "info" attached to them, like anything with durability or enchants. Think about how Apotheosis items have a billion different names. If you store a ton in any virtual storage (AE2 or RS), you'll end up crashing out eventually. AE2 just handles it a little better because of the type limit on the basic drives. You can have a few in there, it just adds up really fast and can eventually cause a ton of lag.

You say 12:10 you should be careful with MVT items. What does it mean? Is there a items that better don’t put in to the storage? Why!?

Just show setups. When watching on a phone you can’t see what the recipes are because the GUI scale you use is to small to see. Not complaining, just pointing this out. And if people can’t use JEI to find and make a recipe they won’t get anywhere in this pack.

AE2 is a little more rough to start, and I prefer the simplicity of RS. I actually cut out a 6 minute talk about the differences between the two, just because I didn't want to start drama. lol

Make sure you toggle the bypass power option!

i think you should just show the recipes for a brief moment so people can understand what you need for the items and have a certain flow. I actually like it how you do it. Maybe its better if you make it a little bit faster

Heyo o/ I've builded the same setup, but i've got a problem with the void upgrades of the drawers So i've put the void upgrades on the drawers and connected everything up, but now the items won't go into the storage controller if the drawer is full, even though it has the void ugrade on it :/ Anyone having the same issue or knows the solution to this problem? Maybe i am missing something trivial as well :D

NBT items store a lot more information. Take an enchanted pickaxe for example. It has to know how much durability it has, what level of enchantment, etc. That's a lot more info that the system needs to read and be able to pull. If you do too much of it, it will slow it down until it eventually causes more issues.

There's a better wireless transmitter it uses the wireless transmitter and gives a range of 1024 blocks.

@@AlfredGGMC Advanced Wireless Transmitter, default has a range of a straight 1000 blocks. It however doesn't seem to work with the Dimension Card from RSInfinityBooster though. So eventually you'll want to switch back to the regular transmitter once you get a dimension card.

What's the draw to RS vs AE2? New to modded and new to storage systems. I've heard the claims that AE2 is better late game, but that's all anyone ends the conversation at and doesn't share the why's behind it. Or I've seen AE2 is better at autocrafting, but don't see why. Would be curious to hear your thoughts on it. Edit: In regards to the question on showing recipes: I think the balance right now is OK. Even if you just wanted to say the item and how the recipe as your crafting it but not calling out the materials going in would be fine. I don't think you shouldn't show them though only because it's helpful for folks like me.

So fun fact, there was an 8 minute rant at the beginning of the video about the two. I cut it out in the final take because I didn't feel it fit the goal of the video. In my opinion, both are great options. I did my ATM7 Star Speedrun in 55 hours using nothing but RS. AE2 has a lot more complicated measures like channels, crafting the processors in the beginning, etc. I think it's more optimized in terms of general use, meaning that because of the typing on disks, it's harder to create lag. That doesn't mean you can't, it just takes longer. Otherwise, the channels and such for AE2 were always a turn off. RS is great for general purpose, but specific parts of autocrafting can be a pain. For things like automating the Powah Orb, you have to do work arounds to get it to work without flooding the Orb. For the most part tho, it is perfectly fine for automation. Hope this helps!

@@MadLadTrav A general rule of thumb for any game is to always cap your frames in one way or another. It's preferred to always cap them using a frame cap if it's available, but if the game doesn't have that, turn on VSYNC. I normally just run all of my stuff at 8 chunks. Otherwise, everything is almost at ultra, but I have a 3080 and a Ryzen 9 3900x!
