thanks
These short tips are great. Such as seeing a ceiling on your material. Thanks for the simple explanations.
Thanks Elly 😊
Thanks!
Very Good! Thank You. I love short Videos
Спасибо! благодаря этому 2х минутному уроку, теперь в моих проектах текстуры не выглядят игрушечными, а просто реальными
Big question here about the image used, I understood the white values extrude outside the shape, so my questions are ¿Does darker areas invert the extrusion? ¿50% white has no deformation?
hello, I have a question. I've just switched from c4d r21 to c4d 2023 and I notice now I can not rotate or scale point handles (spline) anymore (with rotate tool and scale tool). Has this feature been removed?
I wish I could figure out why the RS Maxon Noise isn't working in 3D Studio Max with the displace modifier...
🥳😍😀😁😎
Can you export the deformed object as a mesh?
Hey @itwaselly awesome quick tip! Can I ask how you added the luminous green bits in the thumbnail render??

Hey Nick! Of course, inside the same material I created the blue metal and also the luminous green emission, then connected them both into a material blender and used the same displacement map as the blend color, then used a ramp to tweak the black and white areas of the mask for more refined masking. Hope this helps :)

@@MaxonTrainingTeam @itwaselly Thanks for that!! Okay cool, that makes sense, I'll give it a whirl! Getting the hang of Redshift I've had your 4 part 'Intro to Redshift' on in the background while I've been working.. Probably been through it all at least 4 times!? 😂😂
@itwaselly Very cool little tutorial!! Any chance you'd be willing to share the source of that greebly sci-fi texture you're using as displacement map? (can't seem to find it in the maxon asset browser. is it your custom work or someone else's?)

Hey! Yes of course, it's my own greeble texture so here's a link to download it; www.dropbox.com/sh/kj90cwweoqh27c0/AAD1MongMiKN1A-1_ozOEDgza?dl=0
Why does my Maxonapp stuck log in successfully
Elly doesn't know me, but she is my best friend.
must be a b&w image?

Displacement maps consist of greyscale values, so it's recommended that you use a greyscale map or noise. Black and white may also work but can cause some artefacts.
I would like to understand why they don't simplify things. Have you already checked out Corona, less connections more practicality, easier learning. I wonder why developers don't simplify users' lives. I really hope Maxon stops being selfish, forms an open community and listens to the user experience. Watch out guys, Blender is getting on your back and I just don't want to miss this tool.
It's quite sad that after 3000yrs we still have to do all these steps just for displacement.
Maximum Displacement has no utility IMO, give me a practical exemple when it is desired.
Oh look a third party renderer on official Maxon channel. Why don't you make any more videos about your own AR? We know why, don't we? Btw there is a lot of others plugins, you can make them a part of Maxon subscription too. For a price.

I already subbed to C4D and they chucked in Redshift for free, and it works fine, so what's the problem?
