OSL triplanar node works 10X better. Give it a try.

is there a way to get the triplanar to lock on the object? Ive tried doing it through the object reference option in the redshift object tag but the triplanar still seems to swim

Triplanar node has Projection Space type. Object type - will stick texture to object. Reference type - is for deformations.

When I pipe my image through the triplanar, it just comes out white. Any suggestions?

can use vetex map, or ramp between images x y and z to blend it a bit more?
@LFOdesign-Tutorials

Yes, you can also use vertex map as mask for blend of 2 materials. Or in Color layer node, you can blend more textures together and after that you will plug color layer node into the triplanar node. And you can project output from ramp node as well. You will need to tweak scale and offset of planar node and it will work.

As is mention in this tutorial, you have to use proper projection space type option.

i wish my version of redshift worked inside r23. shame they are trying to steal 600 from me for an update when thats how much i paid for the software fully by itself. meh.
