Redridge Mountains - Music & Ambience | World of Warcraft

Музыка

An idyllic region of rushing rivers, towering elms and rising elevations, the Redridge Mountains are under Stormwind's protection. Their inhabitants supply Stormwind with timber, fish, and crops. A force of Blackrock orcs from the Burning Steppes has once secured Stonewatch Keep, but are still in control of the northern roads. In comparison with Westfall, Redridge is still relatively stable.
The crossroads known as the Three Corners, located in the southwest corner of the zone, connects the town of Lakeshire with Elwynn, Duskwood and, via the Lakeridge Highway, Stonewatch Keep. Stormwind increased Redridge's security by constructing Tower Watch there and stationing a garrison of Redridge Watchmen there.
The highway itself is quite a dangerous place occupied by gnolls, murlocs, and wild animals. There are also a few camps located in Redridge - an orc camp in Render's Valley, Shadowhide gnoll camps near the Tower of Ilgalar, and murloc camps near the lake. While the lake's surface appears peaceful enough, murlocs reside beneath the waves, and rumors of sightings of a sea monster persist. There are also raptor nests in the Mountains.
On the western bank of Lake Everstill is the Alliance town of Lakeshire, the central hub for this faction's adventurers, offering many services and quests, as well as flight paths. As the town is under constant siege by gnolls and Blackrock orcs the townsfolk are concerned and can be seen protesting at the Town Hall. Adventurers should use caution on the roads to this town, especially the ones northbound.
With the guidance of the dragon Darkblaze, the Dark Horde have also begun invading Redridge sometime after the Cataclysm. An Alliance adventurer deputized by the Stormwind Army traveled to Redridge to aid the beleaguered Stormwind guards and reform Bravo Company to combat the threat. During their war with the Blackrock orcs, Render's Valley was blown up but the Dark Horde has been driven back to the Burning Steppes. Stonewatch Keep has also been reclaimed.

In Retail, the quests are both epic and hilarious. I had a lot of fun rediscovering John J. Keeshan and the Bravo Company. Too bad it's such a small zone. If you want to see the Classic version of this zone, links below. Did you enjoy this video? Give it a like, listen to more (playlist links below), subscribe. Do you want to further support my work? This is precisely one of the reasons I disliked Cataclysm so much. A little bit of humor here and there is fine, but many quests and NPC were too goofy. It's like the devs no longer took the game seriously. I didn't recognize the world of Warcraft I knew since the first RTS games: a dark world, full of danger. Humor was present but more discreet, in the form of hidden easter eggs. The Bravo Company quests, for example, make this world goofy, silly and nutty. Same goes for the Harrison Jones character for example. Originally he was just an easter egg and then he became important, being part of many quests... He just seems out of place. WoW is definitely not Warcraft anymore :/

@@Meisio yo, never let the (intensity, frequency & number of) bad stuff/apples dictate your whole day/week/year/life... I know very well how exhausting things are (and how most ppl -and the universe I would add- push things constantly instead of helping, as if that's a sign of anything good in their brain etc, lol -_-"), without me even knowing the burden of truly huge responsibilities and duties (wouldn't even be able to commit to a guild... life's full of chores as it is and some stuff, most stuff, are unnecessary; personally, even in games I don't bother with ~half the mechanics etc), but still. Lately I've sadly let myself be increasingly angry and I don't hide it at all when it's at least semi useful not to, but believe me, I won't let my new stance conquer my core in any way, whoever deserves kindness and a hug, will get it, unless they spit on those due to how they've let everything change them etc etc. And chances are you deserve it, from what I've seen :p Sidenotes: Sure, ppl are ridiculously insecure and immature and desperate and in need of constant babysitting, affirmation and so on, to the point I dropped being kind 24/7 to those who exploit n mock that stance/mentality and require agreement on literally every thing, and I'm ready for the kind of obnoxious AlphaFlex attention wh0res again, like I used to once and possibly even more ready actually, although I do laugh at them and choose to try to take them lightly at first ...btw, I did notice and I'm glad someone else (Davids) responded similarly (more calmly than needed but in practice that's almost as effective as my own method, maybe, so... meh) to the guy who plagues the Livestream since last year. I've obviously visited several times late night and read what was posted during some bits of the previous hours of certain days, and I hope I was at the right place at the right time, and not that this behaviors occurred every other day/night in reality xD not that it stops happening irl nowadays, these ppl's "direction" is a full-time job now, so who cares if it's here or online or offline... If it's a matter of health tho, since I've started feeling like this first hand, I understand but I don't think it is battled as "easily"... Can't turn off whatever ailments and take breaks from them. Many doctors are just as bad as the aforementioned personalities and without the right docs you're alone and depending on the severity/kind of illness, you may live by chance... which reminds me of my country (& this world in general maybe) where every good thing is smothered, corrupted, silenced, blamed, and ignored, and consequently infinitely underappreciated if I'm being 100% honest.... Self inflicted prophecies blah blah. I've talked enough about these things and few understand and are able to differentiate between many important senses etc. Thanks once again for the company, I think I'll soon be able to repay for it, in kind, x2. Assuming I'm healthy and can focus on WoW again. Cyaaa

Even as someone who almost exclusively mained horde characters, the human starting areas really have something special to them. The music and design are a perfect entry into an RPG. Nightelf areas probably come second. 20 years already...

I saw the first orc in this zone when I 1st started playing WoW during Burning Crusade. It was one of those Blackrock orcs you see when you leave lakeshire. I was extremely low lvl. Maybe 5-7. I was just exploring the game for the 1st time. The Orc scared the heck out of me, before it 1 hit killed me. After that, I went back to leveling in Elwynn Forest.

PEI has the red soil, the water, the greenery, and the culture. But not... y'know, _mountains._ AZ has the red soil, the mountains, but not so much the culture or the water. Sadly no orcs, gnolls, or high fantasy stonework & spells in either place.

Life has changed so much since Cataclysm came out. WoW has changed a lot as well. I miss when these zones were new and exciting. Part of me would like to go back and relive all these zones once more, but there is not as much time for myself these days. So glad I found this channel, to be able to remember the good times experienced in this amazing world (of warcraft). Can’t ask for anything more.

@@matheff71 yeah it’s true, retail has changed. I picked up BFA but it wasn’t the same. Cata was the last time I really played consistently. A few months ago I had activated my sub. Just for one month for classic era (not for HC). It was fun to run around the starting zones again for Tauren and Dwarf. It was like reading the first few chapters of your favorite book. Unfortunately, that was all I had the time for. These videos help scratch the itch for me

Uhmm I'm not so sure it'll be for the better... But ppl are all about the surface/exterior these days so of course they'll care about the graphics (and parrot/mention whatever is mentioned by some majority(?)... countless vicious cycles and no one is ever responsible I guess... well, that's more of a comment on humanity's paradoxical ways and how very few truly resist the currents/tides and the machine culture... so much for effectiveness etc, but good (? always debatable to an extent) looks won't ever save anything, and this game, being part of the grand gaming industry and quite important at that, is no exception; I do like WoW overall, but yh).
