The Adam West batman is amazing, it's mostly a comedy, Adam West is an absurdly good deadpan comic. There's a handful of times when he's dealing with the police commissioner and he's just learned of something the riddler is doing and he'll do a super dramatic pause imagining the implications and you can feel the weight of the scene hitting people as this man dressed up as a cat is being so absurdly serious. There's a lot of general positive lessons and stuff too but overall it's very entertaining. Look up batman has a conversation with himself Adam West.

Arnie's star was NOT fading when this movie was made. For this movie he got $25 million for 25 days work, plus a percentage of the gross, which I believe made him the highest paid actor in the world at the time. In hindsight, yes, his glory days were over, but at the time we didn't know that. In the meantime ... no ... George Clooney wasn't that big at that stage - he was still on the way to the top - but it's interesting to see how people, looking back now, might not understand why Arnie was above Clooney in the billing.

Patrick Leahy is actually in 3 sets of Batman movies - both Schumacher films (random old white man), Dark Knight & Dark Knight Rises (Wayne Enterprises exec), and Batman Vs. Superman (he's the senator sitting next to Holly Hunter). He's been a huge Batman geek since he was a kid and has actually tied his fandom to work he's done with libraries in Vermont.

honestly, i went from hating the movie on release, to loving it now. don't get me wrong, it's corny AF, but it's a great 90's time capsule and modern version of the 60's show. on top of it, joel shumacker never insulted anyone for not liking the movie, on the contrary went out of his way to apologize for, at the end of the day making art, something an artist should never be forced to do. but also, everyone involved is fully aware how crappy it is, and nobody is taking it seriously. it give the movie some meta/self aware quality to it. clooney isn't even trying, arnie is having the time of his life chewing every scene he's in with the shittiest dialog ever written, robin is contemplating the end of his career, uma thurman probably coked out of her mind, batgirl couldn't act to save her life, ... and all that with block buster budget. glorious, just ... glorious. at one point, i'm sorry but you just have to take a big step back, realise the pharaonic sized pile of shit they managed to make, and at the very least pay it some respect. they just don't make them like that anymore :P god do i miss the 90's ...

I hope RLM reacts to this because this was really well put together. I was generally surprised that this wasn't made by them. Absolutely flawless. Well done.

I watched Halloween Ends and some guy was watching Hard Target. I just thought “I should be watching that instead”

This was a great cut. Editing in the commercials bits and such were great. I was dying when the Alicia Silverstone interview parts were mixed in with Mr. Plinkett lol. Perfect.
