The city more that 2500 year old, the name came from Kheivak well, the city grew around that well and the water from which had an amazing taste. You still can see that water well in the old quarter of Khiva, Ichan-Kale.

What beautifully artistic people the uzbeks of the past and present are.I loved the 2 cute boys you gave the tip to..if you had turned around to see them dancing with joy. Your generosity made them so happy! I wish you had taken more time in the market showing the handmade stuff even if you weren't buying anything. The bedspreads the lady made and Muzzafer's workshop, seemed rushed. Try to take your time for our sake😊. Uzbekstan is 2nd on the list of places to visit. You showcase the food nicely. You must have a wonderful collection of hats!

I'm really impressed by your videos of Uzbekistan. It's a country that has long been on my bucket list. And your videos motivate me to plan my visit soon. But unlike you, I don't speak the local language. Do you think I can manage? I'm a female solo traveller who has been to India, Morocco, etc, so I'm not worried much about safety because I heard Uzbekistan is pretty safe. Just worried about how to navigate on my own, especially when taking the trains, public transport, etc. Also, will you go to Bukhara?

You can still navigate with only English or Google translate into Russian or Uzbek. There are many travelers who don’t speak local languages here
