In dishonored. The game also got more difficult the more violent you were. Killing led to more corpses, infected, rats, and increased guard patrols. Some levels have a few key guard locations. Where on max chaos it can have multiple walkers in the same area. The game tried to punish you for being chaotic and not playing stealth. Or it’s a reward for people who like combat.

Isn't chaos also in stealth, it just means how many people you kill? It shouldn't matter if you kill people quiet or loud, they're still dead and so there'll be more rats.

This was the game they were giving away on newegg when I was looking to get a new gpu, I bought my gpu on amazon instead to avoid getting this game.

The Cry of Fear reference was literally the best part about the game. Good god, these games are such a cash-grabbing scheme.

Just played it multiplayer with my two friends, every 3 minutes on average we found a bug, not even exaggerating

I remember when For Honor first launched soooo many years ago. It was universally panned and unplayable and Ubisoft took a few years to turn it around. It was evident that the game would be dropped but from what I've seen, they really tried turning it around

Depending on who you ask, they've already fucked up the franchises, like they believe everything after morrowind and new vegas sucks balls. I myself like skyrim and fallout 4 so hopefully they don't drop the ball like they already did with those two, but considering how game development is these days, the bar is set reeeeeal fucking low and I won't be surprised if the games come out a shit-show with lots of scraped/missing content.

Honestly the game should’ve stayed in the cooker until October, this would be a perfect Halloween release.

Arkane has not released a decent title since the founder, Raphaël Colantonio, left the company in 2017. He worked as a game director/designer on every single succesful title that the company released: Arx fatalis, Dark messiah of might and magic, Dishonored, Prey. He left to go on to create Wolfeye Studios that, under the publishing of Devolver Digital, has released the critically acclaimed rpg Weird West. As it is apparent to me, Colantonio was what made Arkane what it was, and without him, things aren't working out. There are probably more reasons to explain the "fall" of Arkane, but missing its founder/lead director/lead designer, i don't know, seems like that would be a pretty big issue for a studio.

I had avoided this game because every time it was shown it looked quite bad. Also Arcanes gunplay has always been the weakest part of their games. But holy crap i was blown away to discover this was a looter shooter. I can not express how tired i am of shoehorned gear stats that mean absolutely nothing that cause me to spend more time in menus destroying worthless loot than actually playing the game.

Remember that first time you fought one of the mechs in Dishonored? Or the electric phantom is Prey? I think that's what they tried to do with the Lumiere boss. but failed in every possible way

So not only do they make their games in states where they pay the least amount when it comes to fees and taxes, probably giving the devs a shoestring budget with no time but they charge $70 for a literal piece of shit that probably has its own in game microtransaction store

I think it's gross that companies can embargo reviews to that point, it's obviously used to keep them from being held accountable. A month out, sure, maybe they'll change something with the game that'd impact reviews, but days before release should be free game

@@no-barkthechosenone2436 it’s absolutely worth it, it’s all about trying to keep a combo going and finding the most optimal way to run thru the entire level obliterating everything in your path to get to the end of the level and back as fast as possible. It’s impossible to die, and you can only lose during escapes because of pizza face. It’s incredibly fun and very charming, so imo it’s 100% worth it
