Thank you for your videos. I started playing guitar 10 months ago. 42 Years old. It was clear that this song is the one I start with. Everyone says I learn very fast. I want to pass this praise on to you. I think the intro is great to start with when it's not supposed to be chords. I had to make all the mistakes first to learn that they are mistakes. I don't get what 145 dislikes want or expect? The guy does a great version of it, goes to the trouble of giving us chord diagrams & an easy to follow tutorial. He states in the description it's an "easy" version so isn't claiming anything it's not? He is respectful to Jamaicans in not trying to effect a faux accent?...... What do you want? I think it might be because it does not follow the usual writting. For beginners like me, for example it is a bit difficult to follow if we are used at the other, more general type of writing. Still, I love the song and how he plays it, it is also very useful that he goes through it very slowly!

There a few lessons for this song. I found this one useful because it it is a straightforward version to play along with. Variations in chords and rhythm can wait for later.

Your video is the best one I have found of this this song. Most of the videos I had trouble learning the song with. I love Bob Marley and I grew up listening to him also I am new to guitar and The Redemption Song was one of my goals to complete

Hey Alan, i've been following this lesson for 3 days now as a beginner. I have everything down except the way you are strumming the DD UU DU . I just cant seem to get it right! I always end up doing my own strum. PS I love the way you lay out the lesson. Its helpful to play along when with it along with the lyrics and all. Well done!
