Dude, every song i want to learn i search it and this guy pops up. Im semi beginner on guitar and......... If only 'Lessons' in school were more like these!!! This guy is on top of his game. Good stuff. Great actually

I can’t overstate how good of a teacher Marty is for beginners. I started playing guitar when I was 12 or so and gave it up after having numerous teachers who bored me to the point of quitting. It’s 25 years later and I’m getting back into it. If I had a teacher like Marty back then I never would’ve stopped. I hope everyone knows how lucky they are to open KZread and easily find an amazing teacher like this. Thanks Marty, there’s no doubt yr changing the way some people learn to play and in turn stick with it.

Same man. I turn 43 this month. Took lessons at 16 by a guy who couldn’t care any less. Would just listen to stuff I’d bring in and try to show off bit of it. Picking back up a few years ago I’ve learned more from Marty and Andy guitar and a let’s play all than I ever did as a kid.

I think it also has something to do with us as well as the teachers. History lessons also bored me now I can't get enough of it

One of my first full songs I’m learning rn. Been playing for two months now and yes wonderwall was my first riff I learned 😂 thanks to Marty I learned all the 9 major open chords in the first week of playing!

Do you play session throughout the day or nonstop? Well done by the way. I'm still learning chords and finding it bumpy a bit but everyone says practice practice practice. Maybe I'm missing a technique 🤔 lol anyways.

Okay - it is official. There are not such things, as bad students. It's just the teachers. Marty, I have no idea how did you do it but within 3-4 hours of practicing with your lesson I can inflict some sounds to the world at large and there are very recognizable as "Redemption Song" by Bob Marley. If among those, whom read this comment, are some that would like to play guitar but still hesitate - it is possible. Never played any instrument myself, very often singing whilst showering or driving, 4 hours with borrowed guitar and I can enjoy sounds of my own music :) Go for it! Marty, hats off.

I too am taking advantage of this lockdown it has it's pros and cons but now is the time to learn as much as I can I've got a nylon string been learning since April but you play one guitar you can play any I heard some one say correct me on that if I'm wrong... keep it up seriously mate keep you're mind strong and before you know it you will be writing you're own songs to you're own chords.

I'm at the gym, but I live on Maui and that's all the island love to hear. I have to watch this when I have my guitar in my heads once I get back home. Mahalo! Maui, Hi will be pleased once I get it down, so I can play it for them. I'm slowing my roll down to learning two songs a month. Thanks again, Mix Master Marty

Marty you give a great lessons easy to follow,iam starting to learn the guitar over again ! Iam in my late 60’s )I used to play for over 30years , then bab boon , I had a stroke, I taught my son how to play enough to get by , So he tells me about you, And I start to get into it your lessons have inspired me to try and play as much and as good as I can, the other good thing that came out of this is my grandson wants to play, so the trumpet goes back in the case and the guitar comes out of the case thank you Marty get me motivated to try an play again!

Awesome tune. And it's got a really fun and recognizable opening riff for newbies to show off to friends. New players might have a little bit of a tough time with the rhythm, but that's just raegae for you. The chords I printed out didn't have that C down step to the Am so I learned something new myself! Thanks!
